As long as there is still work to be done, I'm happy to see them hire as many people as possible. Big fan of the fact that they aren't just bringing in old guys and they're willing to try some new blood, don't know if it will work, but there's plenty to be excited about.

I can't wait for the draft!

Totally agree. I also think they should add to the scouting staff.

So Brad and Brad will decide if they want Sam or Sam at the draft

Hopefully its outside the box thinking from the new team. It's funny to see almost no experience up there but above them is man with experience running in his veins in Burkie.

I remember the day the Flames traded for Craig Conroy and how upset so many fans were.

Now, can you imagine no Craig Conroy in Calgary? He was so worthy of the trade on the ice, but what he's given this organization off the ice, both as an employee and as an ambassador, is worth 234 Cory Stillmans.

They might be picking Jack or Jack in the 2nd round too.

Ryan Leslie @theryanleslie
Treliving: Pascal played a bigger part of the Olympic team than most people realize.

Actually unless Brad and Brad trade up, Brad and Brad have the decision on whether to draft Sam or Sam made for them.

Super happy for Conroy. The sad part is he's eventually going to have to leave the organization to move up.

Those seem like conflicting statements.

Why? The average tenure for a GM isn't that long. Conroy for GM in 2021?

I'm so happy for Conroy. Iggy may have been the face of the franchise, but make no mistake, Conroy was certainly up there and continues to be. I remember his first interview after he got traded here from St. Louis and back then I thought wow, this guy would make a great coach one day. Glad to see him earn himself a management role and I know he'll do a great job.

I'm looking forward to seeing what this young management group can do under the watchful eye of an experience hockey mind in Burke. We're doing the complete opposite of what the Oilers are doing management-wise and that makes me glad.

Feaster/Weisbrod gave us plenty of "outside the box" thinking too. I don't really care whether the thinking is ground-breaking or not...I just hope the thinking is sound and decisions are made according to a long-term plan.

Both the Brads sound like research/details kind of people, so that's good to hear. And having a passionate guy like Conroy giving a bit of a different perspective seems like a nice addition.

On paper, I'm liking this management group so far.

I am loving the fact that the guy who evaluates the top Canadian juniors and sees them through the biggest tournament of their careers is now part of our team. Few will have his perspective over which guys are winners, which are not, and who may be slipping through the crack of another organization.

This is great news for a rebuild.

He was probably responsible for slapping Lowe whenever Lowe made a suggestion that would undermine the entire process.
