I don't think that's him. That strikes me as someone who thinks he's awesome. I think similar pages popped up after Luka Magnotta's insanity became public.

Yep, it has been professionally covered by the journalists. The CTV has been pretty good too.

From listening to the scanners earlier (all of which seem to have gone down) it sounds like they have absolutely no idea where he is. Not a single credible lead.

Tried finding an online stream of the Moncton RCMP scanner. Looks like all are down which is probably not a bad thing. If anyone finds a working copy please link, I work in the industry and would like to follow if possible.

^^^strange timing!!

Want rampages like this to stop? Ignore them. Don't look at his facebook. Turn off the TV and go on with your life and give this guy the attention he deserves, none.

I am sure they have taken the links down for good reason, and they should stay down. He could easily be using a smart phone to monitor them.

Uh oh. Another killer quoting Megadeth on his Facebook page.

One of his friends' status is a plea for him to stop. Another person responded with, "You know how he is, when he goes he goes." Sounds to me he's a bit of a loose canon and just snapped.

We'll be hearing a fair bit about Mayerthorpe in the coming days I imagine, with people asking if enough was done to better equip officers to deal with these types of people. "You can't fix crazy" is how I'd respond to that...

Absolutely the right call to take down all accessible public streams in a situation like this. Quite impressed they were taken down so fast.

The police should be better equipped to deal with situations like this, even if it is a rare occurrence.

When you have an individual equipped with assault rifles shooting at you and your options are to return fire with a handgun or a shotgun..... It just doesn't make sense (From the footage on CBC).

Stupid question and I don't even know if its possible, but could they get a helicopter and put on of those cameras that shows heat on it? Wouldn't work very good for houses but maybe the wooded areas?
