Our household had no clue, we slept though it.

That storm was awesome last night one the hail stopped here at Elbow and Fishcreek. Still had some split pea sized hail on the ground this morning.

I'm in Oakridge and took a video of the storm and I thought I'd be a thread hero with the posted youtube video of comparable scenes from twister... it ended up being 35 seconds of blackness with the occasional flash of lightning... plus I was eating chips and you can hear that more than the thunder.

Riveting stuff.

Asking the important questions.

I took a video too and it was mostly the same...mostly just darkness and some stationary street lights that you can sorta see sheets of rain coming down nearby. The only interesting part of the video was the quiet start and comparably how loud it got when the rain really came down.

Could get some more tonight, watches - not yet warnings though - out for north of the city, including Airdrie: http://weather.gc.ca/warnings/report_e.html?ab1

Nothing for Calgary at this time.

Was watching it as it blew through last night. Love those big summer electrical storms!

The hail can stay away though...
