I would put him in the best player conversation. Too often, defensemen get overlooked for that tag because they don't show up at the top of the points charts very often. But if you watch Doughty, he affects the game positively for his team every shift. You can see him even up his game beyond that when the team is in desparation mode. He is a treat to watch.

An interesting question. If he plays well in the Finals (and especially if he managed to win the Conn Smythe), you'd have to consider it. He's had a great year.
How could he be considered the best player if he isnt even considered the best defenceman? How many Norris trophies has he won? How many has he even been nominated for?

Hes no Erik Karlsson or PK Subban.

It sounds like he might be pushing it, but I would love to see his play in the finals.

Correction: Regehr is participating, but didn't take rotations with top-six defensemen.

Rich Hammond ‏@Rich_Hammond
Robyn Regehr said he thinks he can play, but expects Kings' lineup to remain the same tonight

Did You Know? #Kings have home-ice advantage for just the second time in their last 22 playoff series.

That's because, for some weird reason, the Kings stink in the regular season.

^^I think we will see Regher sooner rather then later. Although they were playing against very good players the second pairing of Voynov and Mitchell looked very beatable against Chicago.

Regehr coming off injury facing the Rangers speed is a bit of a concern though. His timing will be a bit off to start.

Matt Greene is a lot slower than Regehr( when healthy), IMO.

They are built for a multiple game series rather than one game.

Game one will be on NBC so canadian viewers will have a choice of telecasts along with RDS and the TSN radio network.

Kenny Albert will be calling game one on NBC because Mike Emrick is attending a family funeral.

This will be the third time the Rangers and Kings play each other in the playoffs as they met twice before. The first time was in 1979, the Rangers swept the Kings 2-0 in a best of three series. The second time was in 1981 and the Rangers won again, 3-1 in a best of five series.

"The Alouettes were still in Montreal". Healy is such an idiot, he can't even get his Canadian franchises right.

I am glad that I am watching the NHL Network instead along with TSN and RDS for pre game shows.

"Darryl Sutter might be the best coach in all of hockey", so says Wayne Gretzky. Quite the high praise from the greatest of all time.

I love MacLean continuing sucking up to Brad Richards saying he has the most points all-time for any of the Rangers players (and Mike for the Kings). He might want to check those facts though, St. Louis has more points than Brad and Gaborik has more points than Mike.
