Sharapova double faults on set point and fops first set to Stosur, who is seeded behind Genie.

This is a potential semifinal matchup for Genie

Uncertain if I want her to face the easier matchup in Stosur, or if I want her to take on the more difficult Sharapova, in a battle of blondes and potential passing of the luxurious endorsement torch.

Raonic won't get by Djokovic, but looking at the Women's single draw, there isn't much left. Genie could win this.

Raonic has played Djokovic well as of late. But finally getting over that hump is much harder in five sets.

Bouchard's next opponent Suarez-Navarro is a very tricky player. She beat Bouchard at last year's Wimbledon when the door also seemed open and Bartoli ended up winning it.

Just realized Nestor is in the quarters as well.

That is 3 Canadians in the quarters.

Cool

It also provides more margin of error for Milos. If you drop a set early against Novak in 3 sets you might as well say goodnight. Drop an early one in 5 sets with the way Milos has been playing and its hardly out of the realm of possibility that he's still in the match.

Anyone know what time Milos and Djokovic play tomorrow? Can't seem to find the time.

Daniel Nestor has not gotten enough credit as a Canadian athlete.

8 grand slam doubles victories and an Olympic Gold medal.

He really deserves more, but doubles is really the red-headed step child of tennis. It is always low profile.

That said, one of my favourite tennis moments of all time was Nestor beating Kuertin in five sets at the 2003 Davis Cup.

Genie is up first on Lenglen at 6am MT, Milos is up second on Chatrier and figures to take the court around 8-830 AM MT.

Down a break early. Sharapova is also getting blown off the court, down 4-0 in the first.

Genie likewise not putting up much of a fight, about to lose the first set 6-2. With Sharapova possibly getting crushed quickly Milos will be up faster.

...or she'll break Suarez Navarro twice in a row and level the set. Keep proving me wrong Genie.

woohoo, won the tiebreak!

Muguruza is crushing Maria on the other court.

She and Bouchard on Thursday? Could be the start of a long rivalry for years to come.
