There's also luck, Torment drop rate isn't that much higher than master

Well schucks.
Is there info anywhere on the difference from master to T1?

Weird. I'll check it out on my phone.

There's been a few blue posts about it I can't find it but I think T1 was something like 50% better than normal. The biggest reason to do T1+ is set drops, but the rate is better so do the highest you can do at a good speed.
No sense doing T1 if it takes an hour to clear a rift.

Sometimes I really hate the cheese this game can hit you with. My monk has no trouble plowing through T3, I can comfortably do most rifts in 10-15 minutes. But I just hit one that spawned two champ packs and an elite all in the same area. Had to deal with molten, plagued, acid, damage reflect, jail, frozen, vortex, and arcane sentry all at the same time. Died 3 times dealing with that crap. And then the next rift is almost completely empty, except of course for the 2 conduit pylons I got that were wasted

Unfortunately it's true. Ran 2 more rifts last night on T1 and got one measly 2H sword leg drop.

Maybe I'm looking at the game wrong, but expecting a legendary drop every time you do a rift seems a little excessive.

Anyone try a "Theorycraft Thursday" build showcased on the game launcher?
I tried the electric wizard. Very low effort, easy playstyle even though my sheet stats took a hit.

Link? I am experimenting with some electric skills and can't quite find the right combo of primary / secondary skills

My build is kind of similar, though I use Arcane Orb instead of Black Hole. Some good ideas in there though, I'll have to try them.
The Ball of Hate really makes the build though, and I have the suggested helmet as well, makes small groups of mobs melt. Only really annoying thing is single mobs.

The witch doctor is ridiculously powerful since the last patch. It took me several weeks after hitting 70 on my monk before he was geared enough to where I could do T3 comfortably, but after getting the WD to 70 just a couple of days ago and with only a few semi-decent legendaries on him he's already doing more damage than the monk and walking through T3 with ease. A build around haunt/locust swarm with the passive that makes them last forever is nuts, you just spam those into a group and watch everything melt. Add the Fetish Sycophant passive and you'll get your own mini army to boot

My WD melts faces pretty well also. I'm using plague of frogs and pirahnado mostly.
Fetish sycophant is awesome though.

Some things about this build.
Force Weapon is still better than Electrify. I checked the profile of the guy who submitted the build and he has also switched to Force Weapon, and swapped out Slow Time for Archon.
Not sure Thunderfury is necessary. I get better results out of Exarian (+30-35% crit hit dam)

I recently had a few rift runs popping 5 legendaries. Nothing overly useful but at least some mats.
Rerolled the SoJ I had with the WD for use with the Wizard. First rift run I got another SoJ that I gave back to the WD. Lucky timing.

Yeah the last patch makes Fetish Sycophant awesome. Proc on hit + swarm is like a near instant army. Don't even need to bother casting fetish army.
I've kinda stopped playing regular for a while now. Started playing with my Hardcore Doctor. Really I should mess with another class more, but I started a HC doctor a while back before I was using my softcore WD, and just carried on with it. Almost lv 60!

I always found starting a new toon reignited the game for me. Despite the grinding the playstyle was different enough to warrant some time to play with enough learning curve and options to make it interesting.

Especially in HC where I have no items. Makes things fresh. Hmmm guess I'll probably like seasons then heh.
