^ yes. The Mawer tower is actually owned by Manulife and is, consequently, very well maintained. You won't find bricks falling off the building... in fact, they just dropped 1.2M upgrading the elevators mere months before handing out eviction notices to all the tenants.

Mawer is on the SW corner of 7 Ave and 5 St SW.

One thing I wonder about is if the right lane on 5th between 7th and 8th will be closed once demolition gets going. Sidewalk is already closed. The left lane between 8th and 9th has been closed forever for EAP construction, 5th could end up as a choke point for getting out of DT to the south.
