Should we read anything into the fact he's skating? Would love to see the Kings advance and Regehr suit up in another Stanley Cup Final with a great shot at winning it.

If he doesn't play again, does Regehr get his name on the cup if the Kings win? How does that work?

A player must have played at least 41 games played with the team or one game played in the Stanley Cup Finals.
So, if Gaborik got hurt and missed finals, for example, his name would not go on.
Regher's would

Teams can also petition the league to get a player's name on it. It happened with Konstantinov in Detroit after his accident, IIRC.

The team can make exceptions though. In the hypothetical case of Gaborik, seeing how he's been pretty instrumental so far, he would defintiely have it put on I imagine.
Boston put Savards name on the Cup I believe.

I can't see the Blackhawks getting eliminated in 5. And Lombardi supposedly wanted to fire Sutter if LA got eliminated by San Jose? Maybe the owner should fire Lombardi first

Gaborik will play at least one game in the finals, so he'd be on anyway. Unless he gets hurt before the finals, of course. Then I could see the Kings petition the league for him.
edit: Of course it depends IF the Kings make the Finals

Medical staff was pretty adamant that he was out for the season. However, if he can skate, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Sutter let him play a game. He's currently joining in practice about halfway through and not doing drills. You can't rush a knee injury but of course Regehr would love to play if he could. I don't think he's really considered day to day yet. He'll need to be able to fully participate in practice before he'd get in a game.

Lombardi NEVER wanted to fire Sutter. That was a rumor perpetuated by media but was never actually true. Perhaps the media overheard some pissed off players venting, because that was happening for a while, but Sutter was never actually in danger of losing his job.

I don't care how pissed off they are, they should never vent. If it wasn't for Sutter, they would never have a Ring. They should kiss the ground Sutter walked on instead.

To be clear, I'm not saying players were venting to media. I'm just guessing at a possible reason for that rumor to have started. There are people with enough access to overhear players talking to each other, in a setting where privacy is assumed. There was a period where it was fairly obvious, if you had any decent access, there was some unhappiness. That's where some "lost the room" speculation started. Winning happens to resolve a lot of those feelings. Players were never unprofessional in any way.
Keep in mind, this wouldn't be the first time players didn't appreciate Sutter until they were reflecting back on their experience with him. There are times when his intensity and style of communication can feel like you've had just about enough.

Where's Foss at? Would love to read his opinion on the series thus far. Definitely one of the better non-Flames fans on here. Same with Oilfan, but I guess he'll be back when the next season of Big Brother premieres haha.

I don't know about this being a jail sentence. TSN hasn't been great for the past several years and the CBC keeps thinking it's 1967 with the Leafs last Stanley Cup win.

They should never vent? Away from cameras? Come on man.
It's more likely the pissed off venting consisted more of "Man if we lose theyre gonna fire Darryl" than "Screw Darryl, fire that guy!"

Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford is under investigation by the LAPD after allegedly squirting a heckler in the face with a water bottle during Monday's Game 4 loss to the Kings ... TMZ Sports has learned.
We know ... 27-year-old Kings fan Clark Wong filed a BATTERY report Monday night claiming he was "sprayed" by the hockey player at Staples Center.
TMZ Sports spoke with Wong who says he was sitting behind the Blackhawks bench -- and was heckling Crawford -- when the goalie was pulled from the game toward the end of the 3rd period.
That's when Crawford -- who's in the middle of a 6-year, $36 MILLION contract -- allegedly whipped out a water bottle and blasted him right in the face.
Wong says he believes the bottle was filled with backwash -- along with water -- and it has caused serious irritation to his eyes. Wong says he's going to a doctor to get his eyes checked.
League sources tell TMZ Sports ... Wong was ejected from the game 3 to 5 minutes after the spraying incident for "taunting the players" and it was while he was being escorted out of the arena that he began to rub his eyes, complaining about the pain.

What a load of garbage. There was no backwash, players just squirt the water into their mouths. Some turd trying to get paid.

According to a poll I've read about a few years ago, almost 1/3 of Americans count on a winning a major lawsuit to fund their retirement.
