on an observational note, I was not impressed with Subban bashing his stick on the ice and screaming for the puck on the point. Embarrasing at an NHL level. I hate playing with guys who do that. Glad his team mate didn't pass it.
The announcers didn't even rag him for it. Just kept saying that the PP goes through him. Gross conduct in my opinion.

I'm curious why we can't just hate bad fans in general?
Am I not allowed to hate the Habs, but also hate the Leafs/Bruins/Canucks/etc fans who are being idiots?

Subban is the biggest threat on the pp. I don't blame him really for wanting the puck. He's probably got the best point shot in the league and if I was his teammate I would want him taking the shots on the pp.
He is very animated but his teammates do a bad job getting him the puck on the pp so I don't blame him.

The Sharks are a rival too, not as strong as the Canucks and Oilers but they are a rival. Nik's right, we have a reason to hate the Bolts and on that line, the Habs too.

It'd be hilarious to see this series make to game 7.

I think anyone who wanted to talk hockey (and didn't subscribe to whine, cry, oh how they hate Montreal) have left by now. I doubt there will be anything to see here from now until whenever/however this ends.
Cheers to the haters

Realistically I feel it's in a way good to have very unlikeable teams like the Canucks and Canadiens go far in the playoffs because it gives fans like me a vested interest deep into the playoffs. I tune in at puck drop with drink and snacks in hand in hopes of watching them lose and their fans go home in misery. It's not as fun as watching the Flames in the playoffs but it's the next best thing. If the Habs do take it to 7 games it would be better for me for an entertainment perspective because it adds two more games of high interest to me but at the same time there get's to be a point where enough is enough and you just want the circus to end. I'm at this point where I want the playoffs to start focusing on the hockey and not the Terrien whining and Canadiens embellishing. I also feel Prust shouldn't get another chance to play in these playoffs so I don't want a game 7 because it would give the thug a chance to play once more.

Carey Price practiced this morning in full pads which of course has sent the media into overdrive that he's going to play tonight. Will it even matter? Tokarski has been outstanding but the team in front has been garbage all series. Don't think getting Price back changes much.

Technically the difference hasn't been goaltending, but the Habs might play better in front of Price.
It's too late for them anyway.

Even if Price comes back and they start playing better, no way they win three in a row. This series is over.

After the Kings-Sharks series, no series is over until you are shaking hands. The Habs are perfectly capable of pushing a game 7. Problem is, they are not doing so hot at home and only managed to squeeze out an overtime win in MSG.

I think if Price plays Montreal loses. You don't go from "out for the series" to missing 3 games and are 100%.
Even if Price is 70% the way Tokarski is playing is a much better option.

Price had a short, light skate before practice - no equipment. Therrien reiterated he will not play 'this series'.
Quote:
Price skated for about 20 minutes without equipment before the team's optional practice, but coach Michel Therrien said he will not be back in this series.

Oops! This then:
Quote:
Injured goaltender Carey Price skated for a second straight day on Tuesday, only this time in full equipment.
The Montreal Canadiens goalie was on the ice for about 30 minutes with goaltending coach Stephane Waite and a trainer. He took some soft shots and left well before the rest of the team went on the ice for their game-day skate.
|
Quote:
Despite Tuesday's workout, Therrien said emphatically that Price will not play in this series even if it goes seven games.
