Which one? Ken Dryden or Patrick Roy?

If he is referring to the last time, I'd put my money on Roy.

I'm not a Rangers fan either, but in this series, you can bet your balls there is a lesser evil.

It's not only that but the way the Habs go about their business generating controversy at every turn. They are the Canucks East with the drama and self-pity they manage to create. Every series they are in they manage to create major controversies as the coach whines they don't win if they don't get powerplays (sounds familiar but with Canucks you get the GM), lots of head snapping back (sounds familiar), lots of cheap plays they get away with uncalled because they play the victim (sounds familiar).
Even against a pedestrian Rangers team that went two rounds where they went about their business bothering nobody the Habs have managed to make them look like a bunch of goons with their selft-pity, victim antics. I just can't stand it and want it to end ASAP.

Special teams were a big part of their win over Boston but they've disappeared vs the Rangers. Tokarski has been pretty good but their offense has been abysmal. If that doesn't change, they're toast.

Hopefully only one more game until those Facebook-not-really-a-hockey-fan-but-cheering-for-Canada's-team people can shut up.

I'm also looking forward to the "I hate the Habs, oh look they lost, hahahahahahahahaha" people to shut up as well.
The Habs haters are almost as annoying as the Habs bandwagon jumpers. Once the Habs are gone then both those annoying fans/non-fans will be gone.

Yeah but the Habs haters are right and Habs fans are the worst people in the world (well besides Canucks and Oilers fans).

I hate the Habs and have ALWAYS hated the Habs. This is nothing new and has nothing to do with this year or this series.

I think you're missing the key point.
Habs haters, with their vocal, awful, whiney nature and annoying need to let everyone know how much they don't like the Habs are equally exhausting to everyone outside the Habosphere as Habs fans, with their own vocal, awful, whiney nature and annoying need to let everyone know how much they like the Habs.
When the Habs role in the playoffs is over, those of us without unhealthy positive or negative obsessions with the Habs will all be much happier.

I think you're missing the point. The only reason us who hate the Habs are being vocal is because of the other group and their constant beaking off. Someone has to be the voice or reason over the pretend hockey fans cheering for "Canada's team".
And we will all be happy when this is over...indeed.

You don't actually, because you're all just as bad. So instead of sitting here attempting to ignore a large group of annoying fans cheering on their team, we have a second group to attempt to ignore that feels it's their duty to be as loud and obnoxious about the negative qualities of the Habs as the fans are about the positive.
This creates a group that is twice as big, twice as loud, and twice as hard to ignore.
If even one group went away, we'd all be happier. The difference is that most people don't care whether they win or lose, they just want the noise to dissipate. The only reason I'd want them to lose soon is so they don't get to the finals.
Once they're in the finals, it won't matter, both groups will be loud and annoying long after the finals are over, regardless of the outcome.

Exactly.
There's a difference between hating the Habs, and being a ######bag.
I don't go on Facebook and laugh after every Canucks loss, nor every Oilers loss. I don't do it in the regular season, I don't do it in the playoffs.
You cheer your team, and respond to others being pompass.
The trolls are almost as bad as the over the top Habs fans.
Facebook will be a better place when both are gone.
That said, if you hate the Habs respond to Habs fans being jerks. Don't bombard everyone (bad fans, good fans and everyone else) with you being an a-hole.
That's my big problem, the Habs haters are being a-holes while Habs fans are mostly just being annoying.

I would extend this even further to the fanbase and media. Self entitled, arrogant, riot when they lose. Just all out annoyingness. The Habs truly are the french Canucks. Its always better to see them lose than win.
I will say this for the Habs, at least they do have a ridiculous number of Stanley Cups to back up the arrogance, unlike our friends to the west.

I check out this thread now and again but I find myself staying out for the most part. The reason I find I am staying away is not because of the few Habs fans, but because of anti-Habs fans that won't shut up about their hate for the Habs.
It's fine to hate another team, but I find that any constructive talk about the series is derailed by the anti-Habs more often than the Habs fans.
