That's how I remember it too. I always thought Gilmour should have been captain and assumed Riser had some kind of grudge not related to G.'s play as a Flame.

The way I remember it Gilmour was up for salary arbitration and lost. He felt it was fixed as the salary arbitrator, the night before the arbitration, sat with Riser during the game. I'd feel like I'd been treated unfairly too.

I agree. I was sure Riserbrough had some kind of vendetta with Gilmour. He was also trying to show his team that he is the boss. I like Risebrough as a player but hated him as a GM.

He also said he learned from that, what an ass.

Grunge against Cliff F for trading Hull. You could of got Ramage and Wamsley for draft picks and something else. Then whoever was the GM (Coates?) that let St.Louis walk for nothing. Two hall of famers that could of changed the direction of this franchise thru the 90's and up till today.

That is quite literally the stupidest thing I've read today. Now granted "today" is only seven minutes old, but your gripe is idiotic.
I've hated the Oilers for as long as I can remember. Steve Smith was my favorite player until I was like 12 (wore #5 in minor hockey), only because of '86. I am not some clueless dope who's only going to switch my allegiances because of where I grew up. Sorry, but that type of person is not what I would consider to be a true sports fan.

Aside from those already mentioned - cam janssen. I remember his flying elbow to rookie Prust's jaw back in '08 or '09. Prust was eating through a straw for a month. Next few games he got the better of Sarich and Roy(?) I think as well. Running around like a complete goof. One of the dirtiest players out there.

But in all seriousness, Healey. In 2004 against the Red Wings he was unbearable. His love of Curtis Joseph blinded him to anything Calgary was doing. It was as if he felt that the Flames should just roll over for his buddy. "Who is this Kiprusoff guy? Doesn't he know not to show up CuJo??"
From a Flames perspective, I'll go with Cale Hulse. I've met him once and he was a great guy, but... as a player? Drove me nuts. If there was an inopportune time to take a penalty (and a stupid one at that) he'd find a way. Kind of a Young Guns era Bourque I guess.
