Of course they are, but The Rangers are coming to the boil nicely. Lundqvist is in cracking form, St Louis is scoring, Nash has broken his duck, their power play is up and running. If they beat the Habs, I can see them winning at least 2 of their games. It won't be a sweep at all IMO.

No offense to MTL and NYR and their fans but i really wish this series was for the cup.

Both of these teams are just unreal. Grit, skill, big game players, young players, vets, top notch coaching etc. i really dont see either of the east finalists on the same level.

Too bad ths series wasnt best of 21. I could watch this match up for a month. By far my favourite hockey to watch when the flames arent playing.

why Darryl is the best coach in the NHL IMO

As Sutter clarified earlier today, he’s not one for boisterous emotional pleas. He’s not flipping tables, he’s not often screaming or swearing, and sometimes he’ll simply reinforce details to focus on or leave the room open for the players.
“Quite honest, you hear about all these big speeches that coaches make and all that. You know what? The players are getting the —- beat out of them,” he said. “They’re sweating and bleeding, and they don’t need, quite honest, all that. They don’t need some coach coming in there yelling and hollering. I don’t get that. That’s not me. I don’t do that. If theres;’ something to be said, I think it’s honest and the truth and you get it out. If it’s something that helps ‘em out during the game, that’s it. There’s not some great rallying cry between periods. You don’t get that far into the season – you trust what they’re doing. There’s that group of guys, and you trust what they’re doing. If you have to reinforce something, reinforce it. If not, stay out of their way.”

Surprised to see so little discussion about this series relative to the Eastern semis. Two of today's NHL best teams beating the living ... out of each other in the semi-finals. Very excited to see the game tonight. What's gonna be Quenneville's answer to Sutter?

It should strengthen now that the next five games will be every other day.

It is funny that TSN does not have a pregame link for game three. Poor sportsmanship on their part.

Interesting stat.

Hawks, going back to the regular season, have won only 3 of their last 16 road games.

And that's why Toews > Crosby (at least in clutchness) has merit. What a play. What a shot.

EDIT: And with that Kings just tied it up in quick fashion.

Toews with a shorty.

And Voynov ties it up right after.

He also thinks the Kings have a line of Jeff Carter, Tanner Pearson, and Jeff Carter again.

He mentioned Carter passing it up to Carter earlier.

Have you seen the "content" of that Habs/Rangers thread? It's literally just Habs fans and Flames fans going at eachother about how much they like/hate the habs and their fans. It's awful.

It pretty much has about the same amount of hockey discussion as this thread.

Toews again. 2-1 Hawks.

What a player, especially when it counts.
