We picked up six today for the Friday 4:55 and it looked like the seating chart was starting to fill up. This was at Chinook btw.

Despite all the hatred the pictures generated, a lot of reviews are saying Quicksilver is one of the highlights of the movie.

Yeah when I booked there was only a few rows left in the middle, then just the sides and very front rows open.

-Buddy's wife is throwing him a super lame surprise bday party supper Friday (She calls to invite me, way too fancy of a place)
-He phoned me asked me to go to X-Men (obviously knowing nothing of the party)
-I agree yes go buy us tickets (Secretly hoping if he gets tickets the party will be cancelled)
-Wife phones to yell at me for agreeing to go to movie (nobody profits)

So close.

HAHAHAHA.

You should tell her he'd rather see XMen then go to her lame party. She'll love that.

It was actually pretty good. Admittedly, I've never read any of the comics and know nothing of whatever the "actual" story is/was, but I know movies, and this one was actually a good movie. I just can't comment on whether or not it was a good X-Men movie.

Certainly the best $0 I've spent in a while.

Quicksilver was the highlight. I'm am pretty certain I'll like this version better than the Aaron Taylor-Johnson (annoying Godzilla guy) version that will be in Avengers 2. Wolverine was basically a piece of furniture in this movie but not surprising as his powers are the most unspectacular looking of everyone's. Post-credits sequence is short but clearly shows the next story/villAin. I was pleasantly shocked by all the cameos. It really makes the whole X-Men movie franchise congruent and fit together, even the "bad" one.

I'm pretty sure Avengers 2 is a weird, unrelated sequel to Godzilla. Where Aaron Taylor-Johnson and his wife have gained superpowers.

All that radiation in Godzilla caused their genes to mutate...

I hate my brain, it won't stop trying to logically deduce how Quicksilver has a Walkman in 1973... but in the same movie there are giant robots so bah!

Eff that. Your buddy should have told her that for his birthday he wanted to Xmen with you.

Saturday 730! So stoked. I inexplicably keep coming into this thread. Do I want to ruin it for myself?

I agree on the Quicksilver bit as well. He was the best part of the movie for me.
