Looks way bigger than a kipper, I'd say a salmon perhaps?

Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all night.

I keep forgetting Kipper is probably still in Calgary because his kids are still in school here. I just imagined him moving to an isolated cabin in the Finnish wilderness and disappearing from the world forever.

Once the school season is over he probably will disappear.

It's possible he and his family love Calgary and wants to live here.

I had to laugh at TSN a while back how they said something like "Kipper was out of Calgary before anyone even knew"...while Kipper was still in Calgary.

He's the most interesting man in the world.

If by "Calgary" you mean "Okotoks", you are right...

I don't think I've ever seen Kipper laugh before.

Yeah but nobody means "Okotoks" they mean "Calgary & area" because nobody with any good sense would waste any time directly referring to "Okotoks."

I miss Kipper already... Even though they were kind of terrible, I loved his interviews.

Yes. He has been hired as an Assistant Coach with Metallurg Novokuznetsk, a KHL team last year and promoted to a Head Coach mid-season. He re-signed for another season with them. His family lives in Calgary.

I've always wondered about retired NHL goalies... They've spent their entire lives training their bodies to react to things without their mind slowing them down. What are they like at parties? What happens when someone tosses Kipper a beer? Does he reflexively drop down in the splits and snatch the beer out mid-air? Does his blocker hand suddenly take over and deflect the bottle off into the corner of the living room where it smashes against the wall?

In all seriousness, though, I wonder how many people throw things at him just to see what happens...

One thing I've noticed about ex-goalies.. they HATE playing goal. They all seem to want to be forwards after their pro/minor careers are over

Their knees are probably done from stopping all of those pucks. Ken Dryden famously never put the pads back on after retirement until the Habs 100th anniversary celebration where he came out in goal pad, his old target mask on his head, and stopped a few in an impromptu warmup.
