Only a few days after sending out wedding invitations, golfer Rory McIlroy broke off his engagement to Danish tennis player Caroline Wozniacki on Wednesday.
The decision to call off the wedding came as surprise to many, especially since McIlroy had only recently spoke of his delight in meeting up with Wozniacki in London after competing in the Players Championship a couple of weeks ago. Wozniacki had been due to compete in an event in Rome but withdrew to meet up with him.
obviously Woz has been a mess for a while now, what's sad is that she recently talked about how she wasn't going to be in tennis for much longer, and was mainly playing now to save up cash for their future family. so much for that, maybe now she'll have time to devote towards not sucking.
and slightly happier bonus video, what it's like to be Roger through the eyes of Google Glass (hint: nauseating)
Hard fought victory for Genie in Germany: 7-6 7-6 over Yaroslava Shvedova. Off to the semis!
Great to see both Milos and Genie going into Roland Garros on respective high notes. Now for the all important draws which should be posted in a matter of hours.....

Genie's draw isn't too bad, would get Panetta in the 4th round and Radwanska in the quarters. Pospisil could get Nadal in the 3rd round and Milos is in Djoker's section but on paper has a pretty easy path to the quarters.

Nooooooo Djokovic's section is staked
[8]Raonic
[29]Simon
[22]Dolgopolov
[9]Nishikori
[13]Tsonga
[22]Janowicz
[25]Cilic
[2]Djokovic
Raonic could face hometown Simon in the 3rd Round, that's never easy. Then maybe Nishikori in the 16s. He gives Raonic trouble.
Tsonga-Janowicz is a crazy 3rd round match.

Raonic made out really as well as anyone could have hoped. He's proven he can beat and play right with just about every player in this section no matter the surface.
IMHO the first match is the scariest one until the 4th round with the young Aussie really starting to come into his own and having nothing to lose.

Thankfully this title now assures no stupid Anna Kournikova comparisons. And 60% is the magic number for Genie it seems. When she's getting 60% or more of her first serves in she tends to win, and when it dips below she tends to lose. Let's hope for two weeks of 70% first serves!
