I still think that is a possbility too. With Burke and Treliving's way of building the team from the blue line and up, this is definitely in play. I would still let Florida pick, they might not even pick Ekblad and go for a forward like Reinhart or Bennett. If that happens, then I am down for trading Buffalo for the #2 to snatch Ekblad.

Seeing as though Ekblad and reinhart will go 1-2 I would be more then happy if Bennett falls to 4!!!

As a side question, it was Burke that wasn't as interested in Draisaitl. However, what if Treliving sees something in Leon as well as the scouts? From what I assume, I still think Draisaitl is still in the mix, Burke just preferred the other top 3 over him.

As much as I want a Sam, I feel that it will be Draisaitl we get. No shame in getting one of the ''leftovers''. Monahan turned out pretty well for us last draft.

I think people misunderstood the OP. It's not about who you think they'll get... It's about who you want.
And Draisaitl is hardly "leftovers", he may very well be the best of the four.

I would be okay with Draisailtl but I feel if the top 3 are gone Treliving/Burke may opt for the power forward in Dal Colle instead. Either way I would be fine.

Draissaitl is a beast. The guy is huge and will only get bigger once he fills out.
Looks a lot like Malkin (style wise) so I wouldn't mind taking him in the top 5.
