Okay, let’s look more closely at Baxter’s posting history in this game, since apparently nobody’s done it themselves:
First thing he does is wonder how we communicate with the doctor and the cop. Except he’s apparently the doctor. Weird.
Next, he happily jumps in and votes for activeStick, who later turns out to be town.
He unvotes and votes for hmmhmmcamo, who is town.
He accuses Street Pharmacist (town) of being mafia and trying to defend hmmhmmcamo (town).
Next, he says: “I find myself very suspicious of Agulati, Rathji, Street Pharmacist and CaptainCrunch.” Then he votes for Agulati (town) to be lynched.
Then he votes for Street Pharmacist (town).
He jumps in and votes for activeStick (town) and pushes hard for the hammer.
He points out devo22 (mafia, now dead) defended HockeyGuy15, subtly accusing HockeyGuy15 of being mafia while stating he does not believe Tranplant99 of being mafia.
He then accuses me, Crazy Bacon Legs, of being mafia by association with bizaro86, because bizaro86 finds me amusing.
He points out GGG (town) is now dead. He then throws out suspicion about undercoverbrother, trying to pull other people into accusing him without doing it himself.
Then, with the helpful analysis of “Agreed for now.” he votes for starseed (Parker mafia).
He then says he conveniently “got it all mixed up” as to which mafia faction killed GGG, and that he accidentally said GGG was killed by Parker mafia, not Barrow.
He then responds to my post, saying he agrees that starseed and HockeyGuy15 are mafia. (Note that I have Baxter on the opposite faction from these two.)
He then trots out this gem: “I feel we should continue voting for Starseed and hammer him. A mafia member would say anything to save his skin.” Would they, now?
He says it is “guaranteed” that dissentower is a townie with no role.
Then, he says we need to lynch kermitology and Lego Man if starseed is mafia, while providing zero reason as to why that’s the case.
Then, really interesting: he says that ineedanother is almost certainly being defended nightly by the doctor. He later claims to be the doctor, of course.
In the same post, he soft-accuses Rathji of being mafia, then does the same for Lego Man. In the very next post, he comes out swinging, calling Lego Man a “desperate mafia member” and voting for him.
Then, he asks if someone can post a chart of which mafia killed which town, because he innocently doesn’t have time to do so. A convenient deflection if you ask me.
Afterwards, in a reply to Rathji, he spouts some nonsense about how everyone was saying ineedanother should be protected by the doctor, and somehow turns this around as an attack on Lego Man. The post (1627) honestly makes no sense at all, and as far as I can tell is a direct contradiction of Baxter’s earlier post about how ineedanother is likely being protected by the doctor.
Then, I made my lengthy post with some analysis on voting patterns. Based on his posts and his direct opposition to the people I believe to be Parker Mafia along with starseed, I unvoted from flameswin and voted for Baxter. I will say it a fourth time: I changed my vote because I am not 100% sure about flameswin’s affiliation. I am pretty sure about Baxter’s.
So Baxter responds with shock at the number of posts for him. Then he attacks Lego Man. Bizarre, really. I accuse him of being mafia and post my reasons, and HE DOESN’T RESPOND TO ANY OF IT. Instead, he accuses Leg Man. Weird, really.
So then Baxter says we need to lynch Lego Man, followed by Crazy Bacon Legs, followed by kermitology. Again, he never posts any reasons as to why he wants these particular people lynched. Also of note is that the ball is rolling, he’s three away from hammer, but he doesn’t think to use the doctor excuse yet.
He responds to kermitology’s question about proof for these three with a complete non-answer, saying first that he has “contributed plenty” and then saying there is no proof. Watch later, when he decides he can make up all sorts of “proof” to get his way.
Then is when he decides to trot out the desperation ploy: he claims he is the doctor, and now we NEED to kill Crazy Bacon Legs instead of Lego Man and kermitology.
Next post, he changes his vote to me.
Then, he tells us all how it’s going to be so tough without him, given the excellent job he’s done as doctor. This seems to have the intended effect, with people jumping away from voting for him and toward voting for me in droves.
He then attacks kermitology for not pulling his vote for Baxter.
In post 1703, Baxter tells us all about how he needed to “draw as little attention to myself as possible.” Apparently, this means always voting to lynch, and accusing everyone and their dog of being mafia. Well done, doc.
Oh, and then he points out he posted about rules regarding the cop, which “was a subtle way of showing my affiliation while also bringing the rules to the attention of the Cop in the event he was unaware...” Wow, how helpful. Then he says “There’s no way a mafia member would do this.” Well, I guess that settles it. Because obviously a mafia member would never look for excuses, huh?
He then says “Guys, I am the doc.” This is about the height of Baxter’s contribution for analysis in this game.
Then he continues to post nonsense, going after me (and Lego Man and kermitology) repeatedly. To his credit, at least he’s consistent in his targets now.
The next numerous number of posts are the same theme: he claims he’s the doctor, tells us he is a dead man at night anyhow, and that he had to make the reveal. Oh, and he adds he is REALLY, REALLY sorry for not saving GGG, but he was *this close* to doing so. But he saved ineedanother on night one and night two. Which seems to contradict what he previously wrote about how this would either be a poor strategy, or an expected one. He certainly can’t keep his story straight.
In summary, Baxter Renegade has accused directly, accused indirectly, voted for or lynched the following people:
activeStick (town)
hmmhmmcamo (town)
Street Pharmacist (town)
Agulati (town)
Rathji (???)
Street Pharmacist (town)
CaptainCrunch (???)
HockeyGuy15 (???)
Crazy Bacon Legs (???)
undercoverbrother (???)
starseed (Parker mafia)
kermitology (???)
Lego Man (???)
In fact, there is one person only that Baxter Renegade has told us he is certain is not mafia: transplant99/dissentower. I’m not sure what to make of that, to be honest.
So tell me that is makes sense that the doctor, who Baxter says should be playing things low-profile, should have accused HALF THE PLAYERS in the game of being mafia by Day 5. Either he is a liar, liar, pants on fire and is mafia, or he’s performing what can only be described as an epically poor rendition of subtlety.
I don’t know why I bothered doing this as it will make little difference in the end. I know I am dead, and I fully expect to find Baxter is miraculously alive and well in the morning.

By the way, no sour grapes. Just surprise that everyone's letting themselves be manipulated this easily. I grossly misread how to play this game.
Let's get this show on the road. You guys are going to feel mighty silly.
Crazy Bacon Legs stood on the table, arms in the air. "You want to blood of an innocent, you savages?!" he bellowed. A few of them nodded conspicuously. "I didn't mean for you to actually respond, dummies," he hissed.
"Well, you get your wish. You need another vote? Well, I will give it to you. Because the truth is bigger than any one man.
"Just, you know... Try to think this crap through next time. Because this is going to hurt. Just... not in the face, please."
unvote
vote: Crazy Bacon Legs
Good luck, children.

It was a long, tense day. The silence surrounding the town square disappated as the day got more tense, it seemed. Accusations were flying in every directions, and nerves were tested as many became less than civil.
After a long and difficult road, Crazy Bacon Legs decided that he would do himself in. He felt he had said his piece, and it was all he could do. He kept speaking to the crowd as they took him away and bludgeoned him to death.
Crazy Bacon Legs, Townsperson, lynched Day 5.
Everyone was tired, some hurt inside and were unsure they wanted to show up the next day at the town square, but they knew that the only way they could finish this would be to continue to find the gangs trying to win this town as their prize. They would appear again, and the town would be there to fight them off.
It is now Night 5. You may not post in the thread during this time.
If you have night actions, they must be PM'd to me by Wednesday, May 21st at 10:00 PM Mountain Time. Please title the PM "Night 5 Action". If everyone submits their night actions before the deadline, I will open the thread as soon as I process all actions.

The townspeople gathered in the town square for another day. Many were slow to arrive in the morning. With the previous day weighing on them, they could use some good news, and they got it.
The searches for those who were missing turned up another positive lead for a mafia crossfire hit. There was another innocent, but it was still a good night overall.
CofR, Parker Mafia, killed Night 5.
Oling_Roachinen, Townsperson, killed Night 5.
Things were starting to get down to the fine details. Would the mafia be able to outlast the crossfire? The townspeople were eager to help them in that regard. They aimed their sights on lynching one today.
It is now Day 6. With 14 alive, it takes 8 votes on any one player to hammer. It takes 5 votes to deadline lynch.
Vote Count:
Hasn’t Voted (14): kermitology, Rathji, Hockeyguy15, strombad, flameswin, dissentowner, Baxter Renegade, ineedanother, HalifaxDrunk, Lego Man, undercoverbrother, CaptainCrunch, Completely, DropIt
Voting:
Deadline is Monday, May 26th at 10:00 PM Mountain Time. Hammer cannot be dropped before Thursday, May 22th at 10:00 PM Mountain Time.

Im both shocked and appalled that CBL flipped town. His behavior was bizarre and not at all beneficial to the town... That flip caused a flurry of emotions and a deep seated anger. I'm also amazed that I wasn't picked off... Perhaps each faction assumed the other would kill me and didn't want to waste a kill?
I dunno... I'm glad mafia was killed in the crossfire however, we needed that.
Oling had a single vote against him for lynch by Kermit. Hockeyguy had mentioned we go after CofR for lynch during day 5...
I dunno, I gotta process all this...Nothing makes sense anymore.

I find it extremely odd that Baxter is still alive Why would the mafia not take him out if they believed he was the doctor?

Hey guys! It’s Crazy Bacon Legs, from the internet! I’m in heaven now, because I am quite dead.
Let me tell you, they have this all you can eat salad and seafood bar up here… it’s to die for. Ha ha! Joke! Because I am dead. You killed me! But no hard feelings. I mean, the shrimp really is amazing.
Everyone’s up here, even my grampa. Except he doesn’t look old like I remember him; instead he looks about 22 years old and I thought he was a hobo trying to steal my scampi. After a bit of a scrap, I got a time out, we realized who each other were and we sort of did a fist bump and then had a beer and a crab leg. Good times.
And you’ll never believe what it’s like up here… you can try your hand at lassoing a bear! A grizzly bear! And the bear doesn't mind at all. I managed to lasso one after about 15 minutes, and the cool thing about heaven is you never get bored. I stared at a squirrel for six hours the other day. Time has little meaning here, and it’s awesome!
Anyhow, I should go now. I have a jam session with John Lennon in 5 minutes, and he’s letting me play guitar. Thing is, everyone is an amazing musician up here, but John? He has a little something special. And George Harrison is sitting in with us too, which is pretty cool. But I need to hurry. It’s only a matter of time before Yoko croaks and comes up here to ruin everything.
Oh, yeah: best of luck with the mafia thing. I hope you guys can win. It’s a tough game, but stick it out. And if you don’t make it, try the lobster salad. It’s worth being pummeled to death while mafia members snicker in the background. Well, maybe not, but it's pretty freaking good.

Hi everyone,
Based on kermit's last post I'm guessing he was frustrated that the town was getting beat so badly. As an observer of the game I actually thought he was suspicious and seemed to try to "direct traffic" of discussion here. So I'm kind of surprised when I got the pm from mazrim and rolled town.
It's no secret, the mafia has better at killing each other than we are at killing them. The town is losing. So I suggest we change course and take a look at strombad. He led the charge to lynch activeStick from day 1. His motives were kind of weak, and everyone followed along because he had a strong record the previous game. Well that record goes out the window if he's mafia this time, right?
Since lynching activeStick he's lurked in the background. Wait, didn't he make a "death pact?" If activeStick flipped town, which he did, then strombad was supposed to fall on his sword, that was the deal. Yeah yeah. Might I add, GGG was the one person who tried to tell us, death pacts are bad for the town. He was night-killed.

Second thing... I thought the town hall debate here between CBL and Baxter was just 2 townspeople chasing bogus leads going at each other. (Meanwhile the mafia sits in the back and laughs)
The doctor hasn't flipped, and BR is still alive, so we have no more proof of that than we did yesterday. I think we should leave that alone for now and check out other leads.

I don't think strombad is mafia based on what I have read. Something smells rotten here. Baxter should have been dead and he isn't and now saillias comes in to replace kermitology and defends Baxter which is also weird. Combine that with kermitology thanking the post by mazrim where we found out CBL flipped town after he was killed and I smell a couple of mobsters. I was suspicious of kermitology before but I am more convinced then ever he was mob. I don't believe for a second saillias that you rolled town. I think BR is not the doctor but in the off chance he is I am taking the more sure route.
