People are pigs, plain & simple. Long weekends are even worse in camping areas because the meat heads are out in full force, with all their toys in tow. Pack it in/pack it out is not a hard concept, but it does involve a little more work, and people are lazy.

WRGMG is people that do not get back to you until it is an emergency.

I got a ticket from a user last week saying "I'm having a problem with a file!" I email them asking if they can provide an error message, more details on what is happening, where the file is, what kind of file it is etc. I get nothing back so I email again the next day asking if the issue is still happening and if so to let me know. Nothing again. I email again two days later saying the same thing. Yesterday I send another email asking if the issue is still happening and since I have not heard anything back I will close the ticket.

Well this morning I get an email from them CCing their boss saying that the issue is still happening and affecting their work and it is really important that this gets fixed ASAP. Their boss emails me half an hour later saying that this is very important and needs to be resolved right away as the first person cannot get any work done and she CC'd her boss. So now after not getting any reply for a week it has been escalated up two more levels of management.
I still have not gotten a lot of information on what is happening either.

that's when you 'cc' everyone all the unanswered emails you sent to the user with a remark something like, "i would have resolved this issue already, however, none of my questions were ever answered."

From my experience letting my wife pierce my 2 year old's ears, I would much rather it happen when they were a baby so they could properly heal.

That said, I don't see a reason for it before the kid is 10 or 12 at the earliest.

Same here with my step kid. Ear pierced at 2, really not a fan at all myself but I read into it and I guess there's actually nothing wrong with it. Personally would rather it be something that happens around 10 at the earliest and be the child's decision though

Related gear grinder...Glenmore is 80 from Highway 8 to Barlow, then 70 from Barlow to Stoney...why? Are trucks struggling that badly with the traffic lights in that stretch that they lowered the speed limit? It reminds me of BC speed limits - forced reductions while the road is no different. Finally, if it's 70 on the wide open and smooth portion of Glenmore, why is it still 80 in the part with the rail crossings that are hell to drive over? Bizarre.

Tell them it is Cryptolocker and they need to deposit 2 bitcoins into your wallet before you can give them access to the file.

You know you can take them to a place that does it for you with sterile equipment.

My dad always said he'd be fine with us boys getting our ears pierced.

He only asked that he got to do it with the .22

Yup...and then management thinks you're not doing your job. Happened to me just recently as well. I then (as mentioned below by another person here) sent all the emails I had sent previously, to management showing that I was indeed on top of the situation. Back to the user at that point looking stupid. Hate when people do this.

Dating. And men who pull the "disappearing act." As a girl, I get it to a point because I have pulled the Houdini card too but never like this. But when you've been seeing someone for a couple months, you meet the parents (he met mine as well), friends, family and you think it's going well and then that happens. It pisses me off. And we had plans this weekend to go visit friends down in Kalispell and go look at a couple of horses. I finally just left him a voicemail last night that said "I don't care what happened or whatever, but at least give me an answer about this weekend." For the love of God, a text message would be nice. Just when you think you know somebody!

We have the three strikes rule. After 3 if they haven't answered, ticket closed. When they email back, suddenly it's an emergency. I reply that they'll have to open another ticket. Have a nice day.

It should be the kids decision, ours wanted to get hers piecered at 5 so we did it then. Even at 5 they can make an informed decision about having to clean them at night, not take them out and that it hurts when it gets done.

It is a permenant change to your childs body as the wholes always leave marks once they have been it for a few years so I certainly don't think parents should ellectively modify their kids appearance even if earings might be socially acceptable. You aren't going to get your kid a tatoo.
