Trying to shed off some extra baggage on my stomach. I realize diet/constant workouts is required which I am doing and I was somewhat interested in the extra little kick it does.
Although I am leary of the side effects from using thermogenics, I was curious if anyone on CP used them/or using them.
I've used them before, they worked great. But if it's your first time, you'll probably want to start off slow with them. Friends who have tried them experienced some nausea (especially on an empty stomach), lightheadedness, etc. They can be overwhelming to some people.
If you do take 'em, drink plenty of water and don't exceed the dosage on the bottle.

Carb nite is about the best fat cutting program I've ever had the pleasure of being on and reading. Honestly avoid the thermogenics. A coffee before workout is plenty, if you don't like coffee, green tea.

Really? It is about the only diet I've ever tried that worked and kept it off for a substantial time afterwards.
Do you have a source for the de-bunking?
No I don't have a source, that is why I said "I thought". I can't recall where I read/heard it, but it seems to me much of what he did in the book was self-sensationalized.
But again I am pulling this from my brain (scary thought).
if you are considering doing this, just be careful. a friend of mine back in university wanted to slim down and decided to use fat burning supplements in addition to working out. the key ingredient in the stuff he was taking was ephedra. did he slim down - yup.... but he also got hooked hard on the stuff and got to the point where he couldn't even function without it. he did eventually ween himself off the pills, but they can be very addicting.

Your inappropriate use of a comma made me want to post this:

Can you even get over the counter thermogenics that actually work anymore? I thought the manufacturers were forced to take out all the dangerous ingredients which is the stuff that makes it work.
