He didn't make a difference in game 1 and he wasn't going to score a goal or two tonight.

Price would have definately made it a close series. That said the Habs have to rally around Price's injury and find another compete level. They lacked emotion and failed to get players in front of Henrik to deflect shots.

I'm saying a good team in the East is not as good as a good team in the West. A team doesn't have to be built as well as a team in the West to find success.

I agree with Cherry. Tokarski should have had Nash's goal, but the loss wasn't on him. Still wouldn't have played him though.

He wasn't bad but Price would have likely had that Nash goal. That said the Habs are getting a taste of their own medicine in that they are facing a team that you can outplay, outshoot and can't beat a goaltender that is on top of his game.

True. But that shouldn't take away from what the Rangers have done in these playoffs so far.

They seem to be able to play that style of game that adapts to their opposition. Put the talented teams to sleep and use their speed and opportunistic finish against an average team like the Habs that depends on their goaltender to win games. That said the Hawks could probably sweep them if they focused for four straight games.

It was a gamble playing a tender the opposition hasn't seen. Sometimes it works like it did with Gibson or what we saw tonight. Can't fault the coach for his decision.

How about Bishop's injury? Was that a shame too? May have been the difference between a Habs sweep and a Tampa Cup.

I don't know about that:

Stock: Elliotte, you just don't understand what I'm saying.

Friedmann: Its *impossible* to understand what you're saying!

I really, honestly, truly couldn't give crap number one about the Tampa Bay Lightning or any injuries their players incurred.

I'd like to think I'm over 2004, but I'm not. To hell with them.

Man that McDonagh for Scott Gomez deal sure is looking particularly brutal right about now. By the end of McDonagh's career that could end up being one of the worst trades ever. At least the Habs also got Michael Busto in that deal haha, that says it all right there.

The Habs did rally, they were swarming, got the first goal. Then they let in one 17 seconds later. Balloon popped, game was pretty much over right there. They're in a fragile state. Not many teams can overcome an injury to their best player.
