Elliott and Halak were great for the Blues, last year and at the start of this year. I didn't get why they would want to rent Miller. High rental price, and disrupts the team's synergy, for an area where they were already good.

He'd go to Vancouver. There is enough of a bustling movie industry there his wife would be fine. He could rely upon his 2010 Olympic reputation to buy him a few years.
I think Vancouver offers him more money than SJ, and Miller grabs it.

Even if he wants to go to Cali, doesn't mean he will. There needs to be a fit. LA and Anaheim sure don't need him, and San Jose is better off with Niemi.

There will be changes of players in San Jose and word is that they are not happy with Niemi. I would say 90% chance he ends up with the sharks , with a 10% chance he ends up with the Canucks.

How can you say this? Neither team needs him. Miller is not in a choosing position, exactly. His performance has not been stellar lately. He'll go to any NHL team that gives him a good contract. Vancouver is in need of a goalie and this could be a match, at best.

Don't see alot of teams willing to pony up big dough for Miller what with a pretty lackluster couple of seasons and a relatively uninspiring stint with St. Louis.
There also aren't a ton of teams that jump out with huge holes in net. Anaheim sure, but they have alot of depth there. San Jose yeah they'll probably want a change with Niemi but Stalock played well for them. The Islanders are clear team that could use him but they just traded for Halak. Washington could shore up in net but I dont'know about their cap situation. I don't see a big bidding war honestly.

It would be great if Edm gave Miller like 6 million, and sign Yak & Schultz for ~$10M/year between the two of them.
then Fasth walk for nothing, and they would have like $16M to fill 10 rosters spots, including probably a top 6 forward and 3 top 4 d men.
Their Solution will be to pretend that thier RFAs/Draft picks are ready to fill those roles. And Life will go on as normal.

Could see the Canucks, but Miller might be soon wishing he would've stuck it out in Buffalo.

Miller is a big step up on Niemi, and I think that's where he'll go, considering Niemi got Yanked in games 4 and 5 and didn't start in game 6.
I would be interested in picking up Niemi if I'm Treliving.
Bona Fide starter without any extra term to see what you've got in Ramo etc.

There are 2 criteria that Miller is looking for. 1) is to win, the other is to be closer to the west coast for family reasons. He might not get both , but Buffalo offers neither.
San Jose offers both criteria , and my guess is that he would sign for a lot less to get both criteria on one team.

Dont think the California teams are desperate for goaltending. I would be shocked ofnheblands in either Anaheim or SJ
I think Minnesota may be the furthest West he makes it. He should sign with the Isles

Didn't get this either.
I think Halak is vastly underrated too. At this point in their careers, he might be better than Miller.

I think Philly have found their guy in Mason so I don't see him headed there. But I definitely see the Oilers and Canucks going hard for him.

I hope the blues don't sign Ott either as I think he'd e a great fit on the flames. Miller will end up in either Vancouver or San Jose, especially since they want to change up the roster.

Miller is not going to Edmonton. Fasth is signed for another year and Scrivens for two. The Oilers will likely try to sign every free agent D available though.
Miller to Minny makes sense.

I personally see Miller going to Pittsburgh.. Fleury's days are numbered there.

I watched all the L.A/SJ games and the goal-tending was not good enough for the sharks. They have to do a mini blow up, and I would bet moving Niemi is one of the planned moves. 87% chance Miller ends up in SJ.
