Goal per game? No. He only has one.

I believe he's 1G 5A in 6 games now but am not certain. If not it's close to that.

Well in the nhl he has a goal per game average of 1.00. I guess a point per game is still good for a rookie.

The toe drag was nice, but I don't want to see see him turn into Eberle 2.0.

They look great when they work, but most of the time they don't, become predictable, and kill plays and the spirit of your team.

The thing about Johnny I find so impressive is that everything he does is at high speed. He pushes the play up ice so fast and then he's always got something up his sleeve as he approaches the defenders. The Flames will score more goals off the rush with Gaudreau on board. I just can't see him starting in the AHL if he can add a dimension to the team that it doesn't have. Gaudreau might not be Patrice Bergeron on the defensive side of the puck, but I think his game there is adequate for his stage of development, and if he's committed to improving, why not?

What if little kids are reading this?
Just a suggestion and a good one - keep it on hockey.

Should use a new metric to describe Johnny Hockey: highlight reel move per game.

1.00 throughout worlds so far?

Well don't, it's a joke from a cartoon. If you're picturing him orgasmning, that's your cross to bear.

He stands out like a game breaker every time I watch him play. There's lots of guys who have put up big numbers in junior or college that just look like average NHLers with decent skill who show flashes of skill... Guys like Byron or Kreider for example. Gaudreau on the other hand definitely looks like a guy who is noticeable every time he's on the ice.

I really don't know this would be any concern. It's not like this is a signature move or anything from Gaudreau, nor does he show a tendency to make this play at inopportune times—which is when becoming predictable is a real problem. This was a perfectly timed and perfectly placed toe-drag that would have resulted in a goal, had Wingels not been in the way of the shot. Just another in a massive repertoire of mind-blowing plays that Gaudreau continues to draw from.

I don't think it's a concern... Patrick Kane pulls it off from time to time but that doesn't mean he tries it every time. In fact, he only seems to do it when it works. That means he has a good read on when it's going to work.

Hopefully Johnny is the same. So far, I haven't seen him try to pull off some fancy move that didn't work. He seems to think the game at a ridiculously high pace that he makes other players trying to defend against him look silly.
