15 feet Healy? They were like 2-3 feet apart!

I haven't seen a beating like this since Rodney King

edit: Probably sucks to be a Habs fan today but new york can score a thousand goals and it's still a 1-0 series lead. If anything pilling on like this may give the Habs some life and sprit in game 2. But if they go down 2-0 going to MSG good luck mes amis.

I enjoyed that. When the Habs scored their first goal and the "ole ole" chants started coming back it was almost poetic that the Rangers would snipe a couple of quick ones to put the game away.

Boston had trouble with Montreal's speed and checking. Looks like Montreal is experiencing the same with NY. How many times did you see a Ranger blow by a Habs defender like he was standing still?

How do you adjust for that? Hook more?

Apparently Gamecentre didn't cut away to commercial at one point. Glenn Healy was caught doing this:

^^^ Healy is such a maroon.

Funniest for me was when he was saying that Montreal played a heck of 2nd period, before it was over, seconds before the Rangers scored to make it 3-1.

Well, for a snooze fest team it's pretty fun to cheer for the Rangers. When they're on, they're ready pour it on.

Healy is just brutal, how he continues to have a job is beyond me, he must be drinking buddies with some higher ups - him, Kypreos and Doug Maclean just drive me nuts with their combination of stupidity and arrogance. Either quality is bad enough on its own.

I don't why but I tend to really care about the fan involvement and excitement level in the cities when I'm cheering for teams in the playoffs.

So for example, Montreal's great for me as their fans are off the hook, probably the most dedicated and hockey mad fans in the NHL, and there's just a different buzz around playoff games when a Canadian team is playing, imo.

So for me, there's a lot of positives in the teams left.

Montreal: Mentioned above

New York: Biggest city in the States, despite being the 4th biggest sport in New York, the city goes crazy for the Rangers when they're on a playoff run, and more specifically the Stanley Cup finals. If they make it, it's huge for the NHL.

LA: Same idea as New York, only not as much excitement in the city. Was a little disappointed when they won the Cup, thought it would be a lot crazier. They ended up having a very small turnout for the parade and are still considered a fringe team/sport in the LA sports market. But still, another trip to the finals can only improve things, and it's great for the NHL.

Chicago: Again, huge market, city gets fully invested in the team during runs. 2mil fans at cup parades which is just insane. Plus, as much as I want new teams and fanbases to experience championships, it would be pretty cool to see a franchise in the salary cap era win 3 cups in 5 years.

Have to think the NHL would be pretty pumped for a NYR vs LAK finals.

Hell, I think the NBA wouldn't mind if the Kings made it and bumped sterling off of the front page for a day or two.

Price did not practice today. Budaj and Tokarski were the goalies. The Scabs are toast if he can't go.
