I can believe almost everthing in Dion's story about Coulter's background but the one where it says that he attended college causes me to shake my head.

George Carlin is also an equal opportunity offender. He's not some beacon of comedy for the dems to hold on to.

I hope he just tears her a new one live on TV, if any one can make this bitch look like more of a goof it's George Carlin.

I don't think it's possible for Carlin to choke.

The trouble with Coulter is, Carlin could tear her a new one and she wouldn't even know it.

I thought she defended her point very well, surprisingly. I just think that the way she made it renders a good point lost. We have some of that here now and again.
She, like the Limbaugh and O'Reilly, rubs me the wrong way because of her arrogance.
K.T. Tunstall is always great to hear/see.

What point did she defend?
Her "point", near as I could tell, is that she's the only one with balls enough to (paraphrasing) "challenge what the unassailable victims that the left put forward have to say".
That's not true. Lots of people have gone after those people. Cindy Sheehan got crucified. Bill O'Reilly busted a nut going after the son of a 9/11 victim.
The best part of the whole thing was Leno said the word "attract" and Ann wittily retorted "if I wanted to attract people, I'd wear a sexy dress and grow my hair long" (she was wearing a "sexy" dress and has long hair). Then she gave her sauciest grimace and flipped her straw hair.
No offense Ann, but the "praying mantis in an ill-fitting cocktail dress" impression isn't exactly "the look" for 2006. Get rid of the Adam's Apple, grow some arms that might have a chance against Mary-Kate Olsen in an arm-wrestle and then you might have a hope with that "sexy" image you are trying to put out there.
What a disgusting person. If I cared about such things I'd also be offended by the cross she was wearing.

I was only able to keep myself up long enough to see Carlins bit (which was lame and re-used), did he actually say anything to Coulter or just sit there through her interview?

Yeah that Carlin bit was almost enough to make me change the channel. He didn't say a word to her I don't think. She just whinnied on and on and at one point she said something like "all liberals are stupid" and then turned to him and put her hand on his arm and with all the charm of a dead dog said something like "until I met you of course ha ha ha ha" and he just sat there looking sour.

Maybe I'm going overboard here but everything that George Carlin says he believes in would point to him believing her to being the non-christian equivilant of the anti-christ and he just sat there and didnt say a word seriously knocks him down a WHOLE WHACK of points for me.
NOAM CHOMSKY WOULD'NT HAVE TAKEN THAT ****

The point was that the dems use victims to make their points for them so the points can't be attacked.
Like I said, her method renders the point lost.
You ought to change your paraphrase of what she said to Carlin because it wasn't as insulting to liberals as your paraphrasing would have people believe.
What she actually said was that she had her one liberal friend review her book before it was published (my guess is Bill Maher) and she told him that he was smarter than any liberal she would be debating on TV with....and then she leaned over and said "That was before I knew I was going to be on with you." to Carlin. So it was actually a compliment to him and her liberal friend.

I'm no George Carlin expert, but he is a self-proclaimed anarchist (although moderate), has claimed his dislike for racism, sexism and many other forms of bigotism (?), and this next one is the only one that is my interpretation but I would also say he has more of a dislike for Republicans than Democrats

I wouldn't disagree with any of that, but I think you were implying that he is atheist. I don't think that's the case to be honest. He does have a great disdain for organized religion, as do I. He always seems to stop short of proclaiming the lack of a higher power though.

I would say he's an atheist
"I want you to know, when it comes to believing in god- I really tried. I really really tried. I tried to believe that there is a god who created each one of us in his own image and likeness, loves us very much and keeps a close eye on things. I really tried to believe that, but I gotta tell you, the longer you live, the more you look around, the more you realize...something is ****ED-UP. Something is WRONG here. War, disease, death, destruction, hunger, filth, poverty, torture, crime, corruption and the Ice Capades. Something is definitely wrong. This is NOT good work. If this is the best god can do, I am NOT impressed. Results like these do not belong on the resume of a supreme being. This is the kind of **** you'd expect from an office temp with a bad attitude. And just between you and me, in any decently run universe, this guy would have been out on his all-powerful-ass a long time ago."
-George Carlin
I couldn't find any quotes where he comes outright and say's he's an athiest but everything I've ever read on him has claimed him as atheist.

That speaks more to disillusion with the world than an atheist stance, IMO.
I've seen a quote or two that would lead you to believe that he is not atheist. I'll see if I can scrounge one up.

I don't buy that.
Why do the Democrats have to be using the victim? Why is it assumed the victim is being used by anyone? Why can't the victim just be the victim, and have something to say about being the victim without someone automatically saying they are being manipulated by a political party? I know why they can't just be the victim -- because then someone would actually have to come up with answers.
Secondly, "the points can't be attacked" is simply not true. The points can be attacked and I know this because the points are attacked. I've seen it on the television and read it on the interweb. The points are attacked. The victims themselves are attacked. Their patriotism and even sanity are questioned and they are all labelled stooges. The point is not a point at all because it's not true.

Bah! Nevermind FH. The particular quote I was thinking of seems to be surrounded by some controversy. Evidently Carlin denies writing it! Or so somebody says. He probably didn't, people are liars.
You might be right after all.
