My wife and I are expecting our first in July, and I am pleased to see that for both our boy's and girl's names were not used last year. |

For the next one, if it's a boy I'm thinking Jackxsaun just to be a bit different. Don't want to be the same as all those other Jaxons. My kids are special. For a girl, probably Nevaeh or Maybe Neveah to spell the backwards made up name wrong (4 in Alberta this year). Thoughts?

Like not used at all in the whole province? Or just not in the Top 25?

I'm interested to hear the names if they weren't used in the whole province in 2013!!

My son's name was used 31 times in 2012 and it jumped to 58 times in 2013. I hope it's not going to go the way of the Ethan and become super popular.

			Bunk - so unique!
We did William and call him Liam 100% of the time. More options.

I always think names should pass the Supreme Court Judge test. I would be willing to bet we won't be seeing a Justice Nevaeh Smith, at least not in my lifetime.

The crazy thing is that because of the increasing number of spellings of some names, the popularity list becomes inaccurate. One year a co-worker did a new ranking based on phonetics. Pivot charts and all. Obviously "Jackson" would rank much higher.

Not used in the whole province. Not a big surprise for the girls name, a bit surprised for the boys name as while a rare name, not all that unusual.

If the baby is a girl, her name shall be Augusta (haven't figured out middle name(s) yet), if it's a boy, Wentworth Alexander (obviously Alexander was used, I was referring to Wentworth).

I've a buddy who named his baby Boy "Gideon", pretty unique for a Half Asian, Half Caucasian boy.

Some may not like it, but it is simple and strong.

Have never heard this name before, but upon googling, it is Norse for short - not that name "meanings" mean much. Are you Scandinavian?

My rule was not in the top 200. Essentially less than 10 per year. Went Xxx and Xxx for two girls. Saw Xxx had 17 this year plus 5 misspellings. Xxx was up to 50.
The crazy thing is it looks like 20% of kids have misspelled names

Why did you want two K names?

You see it quite alot where a family is all one letter. Lots of J families out there.

One more K name and you're heading towards an unfriendly collection of K's.
