Kind of strange that the Rangers have made it this far despite their best players (outside of Henrik of course) being pretty pedestrian. Nash in particular could be in the press box and nobody would notice.

Yeah don't like MSL a bunch, but I think it was a key rallying point for them. I don't think Habs/Bruins fans like this outcome much at all. It's gonna be tough. Good. That's the way it should be.

well tampa is happy:
"Should the Rangers advance to the 2014 Eastern Conference Final, the 2014 second-rounder would become a first-round pick"
How many top 60 picks have the lightening had in the last 3 seasons?? seems like a ton.

Holy cow!! Penguins choked big time!! Looks like we'll see some changes in Pens next season. Blysma, Malkin, and Fleury might be gone?

At the beginning of the season, Bodog had NYR at 20:1 odds to win the Cup, which I thought out of all the teams with low odds, they were most likely to be a dark horse. I placed $200 on them to win, which now puts it at a 1 in 4 chance for me to win $4,000.... so yay! Things just got interesting.

If Montreal wins, I will cheer for him like never before. Otherwise, I'll still hope the best for him, but not quite the same. Just reserved success in that case, I guess.

If they're smart they'll take advantage of Malkin's worth on the market. They could retool/rebuild in a mere 'instant'.

Fleury was actually a lot better than I expected. They need to move Malkin to get some depth and some cap space though.
And Bylsma needs to go.

I guess as long as King Henrik keeps up this play anything is possible but Price could be his equal in the next round.

Malkin is going nowhere people. If they trade Malkin they may as well trade Crosby and tear it all down.

Biggest difference in this series was on defense.
Penguins couldn't score their way out of problems and the penguins defence wouldn't keep the rangers relatively pedestrian offense at bay.
Really ugly group of top 6 defenders.

Precisely why Malkin should be moved. They can fix that problem instantly.

You could be right but what they're doing right now isn't working. They need depth and defense.

Yeah, as much as Crosby has been the key cog in years past, line matchups were almost impossible with Malkin as a second line center. That's absolutely insane. Nothing to take away from Crosby, but when he's taken off his game and/or unhealthy, it's pretty astonishing how one dimensional they are.
