They better not cut him. NFL players have been just as dumb and no one has been cut. That's his view and he's entitled to it, just like people are entitled to support homosexuality.

Love to see us trade up in the draft, take Devon Bailey, and trade Price to shore up some other holes. A top-flight, first-class organization such as ours can't be willing to look past stuff like this.

This racism + slavery comparison should stop. Nobody is being forcing things such as slavery upon that community. Like I said I don't agree with them but this is over the top with the comparison to the slavery era, which is a HUGE dark hole.

Wow, cut him?! Trade him?! I think you people are being a tad bit dramatic. The man has an opinion and he stated it, do most people agree, not a chance. However, any punishment more severe than the DB from the Dolphins got would not happen.
Creates a bit of a PR headache for the team but I can't see anything significant happening other than the fine, maybe some sensitivity training.

Price talked to the Sun about this:http://www.calgarysun.com/2014/05/12...ut-michael-sam
	Quote:

		| Reached late in the afternoon, Price said he has no issue with Sam or that he’s an openly gay player but defended his own right to have an opinion on homosexuality. “I wish Michael Sam nothing but the best and I hope he goes and has a fantastic career,” Price said.
 “It’s nothing personal against him.
“People think I’m saying he shouldn’t be drafted into the NFL, or they shouldn’t have homosexual players. That’s not it at all.
“I was speaking about homosexuality in general. As a Christian, obviously it’s not something I can condone or accept.”
 |
	Quote:

		| “I’m not a homophobe,” Price said. “A homophobe is someone who can’t associate or be around gays. “As far as practicing Christianity, it’s just something I believe in.
“It’s a sin. It’s no worse and no more than robbing or stealing is a sin.
“It’s not personal against anybody. But Twitter takes it and people put their own spin on it.
“What kind of person would I be to say I don’t think the NFL, or the CFL for that matter, should allow gay players?
 “That doesn’t make any sense.”
 |
	Quote:

		| “We won’t have a problem,” Price said of the locker-room. “This type of thing has come up before. We’ll go back and forth and communicate and it’ll be over. “It’s no moreso than politics or Kobe (Bryant) versus LeBron (James).
“What kind of world would it be if we agreed on everything?”

Ken-Yon Rambo went full on crazy last night trying to defend Price's comments on twitter. Was pretty fun to watch his twitter fight devolve into comments about evolution is wrong cause we aren't monkeys and Jesus was apparently bisexual etc.

When people like Price try to defend their ignorant comments they usually come off even worse than they did initially...........which happened in his case, too.
He should probably just shut his yapper instead of digging a bigger hole.

without question it is Pierre Lavertu. Who technically has a higher ceiling then Gott but could be a lateral move.
Scott Mitchell also threw this out:
Scott Mitchell @SUNMitchell Apparently, Jon Gott's girlfriend is from Ottawa. Gotta wonder if he asked for a trade? #CFL

Great trade as we still kept our #7 pick. Emergence of the steal from last Draft, Brett Jones, as the best centre in the league made Gott expendable.

			Bryant-?-Jones-?-Federkiel
So the guards is an immediate need.

 Guys who are ready:
Wilson - He will get one of the guard positions.

 Young guys
Craighead - First rounder from last year highly regarded
Bergman - Was with the Stamps all last year, needs more development
Peach - Was activated last year for couple games, has the inside track imo
Erdos - From Simon Fraser, played NCAA rules, will need development time
Lavertu - He's ready and could plug in right away as well

Add to that getting Duvernay-Tardif in the 3rd round - it might not pan out if he sticks in the NFL, but if not...
Definitely worth a pick at that spot
