What's this Red Seal I've head of? Does that make you a chef? Does it actually mean a hoot to "chefs"?

Journeyman, completed the apprenticeship program. The only culinary education worth anything in Alberta in my opinion.

I worked in a kitchen for years during high school/undergraduate, and I can reasonably say that cooks are some of the worst people in existence. If you can imagine the mentality of slaves in Ancient Rome, you have come pretty close to a modern day cook.

Having known a few myself, being a cook seems like the worst of all words. Terrible hours so you never see your loved-ones, hot as balls working environment, high-pressure and stress your whole shift, in an industry known for a-holes so you probably turn into one too, making the same thing over and over....and all for really crappy pay. Everyone thinks you live like Gordon Ramsey, when it's more like being the guy who Gordon Ramsay yells at every week.

Well off the top of my head:

1. Military, real military, not the airforce.
2. Logging, dangerous job & physically demanding.
3. Roofer, heights, long hours, boss is likely a pothead
4. Fastfood employee.......
