I had a double burger with sauteed jalapenos and sriracha aoili.
Can't wait to go back with a bigger lunch crew.

My girlfriend goes there for the gluten free burgers when she wants one, she loves it. There was a thread about the place a few weeks ago.

Haven't heard much about YYC Burger Week here. Was expecting to see some more reviews.
I attempted to try Billingsgate Tuna burger yesterday after soccer, but unfortunately their hours of operation seemed flexible and they closed their kitchen early. Might look at Fine Diner tomorrow for the Surf 'n'Turf burger. Looks tasty.
What have other people tried so far?

Gonna go check out Naina's, any suggestions? Was thinking the Teriyaki Onion and Bacon burger, I'm no good at building my own so unsure about stuffed.

I hit up Naina's yesterday and it was very very good. I had their burger week special, which was a burger stuffed sirloin and two types of cheese and it was very juicy and tasty. Though, I had a bite of my brothers stuffed poutine burger and that was definitely better than the special in my opinion.

So just came back from my Fine Diner Surf'n'Turf experience.
The first thing that struck me was the bun. Very delicate, and loved the light crispy toast. Unfortunately it didn't hold up very well after the first few bites released some of the juices from the burger and tomato. The crab and lobster were really tasty, but I don't think after eating them with the burger that I would pair them along with a hamburger patty again.. I would have no problem eating the crab and lobster by themselves as a burger, or the patty by itself in a burger, but together I don't feel they worked the same way that it does on a steak with bernaise sauce would. I was expecting a similar flavour profile, but this burger needed something to tie the seafood and hamburger patty together.
It didn't come with a side. That is separate, there were some choices, but I went with the duck fat fries. They were good as fries, but I couldn't differentiate the flavour from any other deep frying medium. But they were still good. Maybe some duck fat gravy would have been a nice option to go along with them instead of standard ketchup.

Hit up Burger 320 again and was even more impressed with what I ordered this time (can't remember the name). He still has the same gelato. And it is still awesome.

Anyone had the burger at Grumans?
I just started a job a block away, and I've been meaning to try it.

Flipp N Burgers on 10st in Kensington won YYC Burger week in the $10 category. Went down for lunch with the crew to check it out. Pretty good. But 320 Burger blows it out of the water for the same price point.
Haven't tried Naina's or Craft yet, but they are at the top of the list.

Finally went to Naina's. I went with a regular burger. The taste was good, howerver the amount of hamburger was lacking and the bacon tasted like it was left over from the day before. The fries were standard, no real flavour. Overall I was disappointed, maybe the stuffed burgers are better?
Dairy Lane burger is still my #1.

I had a similar experience after the Burger Quest guys review. I went with their regular burgers because the stuffed was a 40 minute wait. I was kind of underwhelmed after reading the glowing reviews of the stuffed burgers. It's hard to imagine how much that really affects the burger.
Dairy Lane is good.. They need to work on their fries though.
Tried Chuckwagon Cafe last weekend. Sampled my family's beef melt and burgers. They were really tasty. Especially the beef melt. My flatiron steak benedict could have used some seasoning and more steak.

Went to a Five Guys in the States- not sure if it was just the specific location, but man was it greasy. The couple locations I've been to in Calgary are much better.

Greasier than the Deerfoot Meadows location? I thought a greasier burger could only be had from Rocky's .

It does. Simple as that. If you went and had a regular burger - then you missed out. I agree the wait is problematic but if you can swing it - the payoff is worth it.

Has anyone had The Double Decker at Upper Deck? It is two 8oz prime rib patties served between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of poutine.
It sounds fantastic.
