I want to see the Flames Bring in Ott, and and play a third line of;
Wolf-Ott-Gaudreau.
Its the don't touch this kid or else line.

Man, that translation was tough to read!
But I'm looking forward to seeing what he can bring, low risk move, for a potential higher gain.
Hopefully it doesn't go the same way the Cervenka experiment went, although, I often wonder if he would have done better in our current system.

Why would we want Gaudreau playing with these guys?
When has the NHL ever worked like this?

It was just a suggestion... Don't know why you are getting worked up over something that will likely not happen.

Yes. That is the standard for any player on an ELC.

It is just a suggetions that likely will not happen.
Because Ott is the premier physical 3rd line Center in the NHL, it sounds like Wolf had Hands. If Gaudreau starts in the NHL, he will certainly be behind, Hudler, Glencross, and Colborne on the depth chart for wingers. So he will probably start off on the third line.
Its not a long term solutions, but to me it seems like a really good idea for anywhere from 1/2 a season to 2 seasons. until he is acclimated to the league, and ready to play top 6 minutes.
Its not like I was saying play him with Wesgrath and McGrattan.

Should also be noted, the Flames paid an additional $240k transfer fee to sign David Wolf as per the agreement between the German Hockey Federation and the NHL.

Hope it turns out better than cervenka! I'm always a fan of these signings though, free player and worst case scenario is we lose nothing at all. Hopefully he's a player for us, but if not, fingers crossed we just signed a asset that we can use to make us better in the future through a trade.

If he really is coming in to replace Westgarth, what was the point in trading for Westgarth in the first place, was it just extra protection if Big Ern didn't play??
