yep very happy with it, was worried Mack/Watkins wouldn't be there at 5, but then Mack drops all the way there, and with the QBs dropping Carr (who they had as their #1 QB on the board is in the 2nd) was a bonus

Charean Williams @NFLCharean
Jerry admitted Manziel was the highest-rated player on the Cowboys' draft board at No. 16. Just too much invested in Romo.

would have been interesting

double DT in the mid rounds for Chicago. adressing all their needs aside from S, which I think were flying off the board earlier then most projected. could be a wide open competition for the deep back in Chicago this year with a lot of underwhelming names. Hopefully they nab a steal in rounds 4-7 tomorrow to at least put some pressure on the FS/SS going into next year

4th round notes:
Chiefs get their Dexter replacement. Thomas might be better too.
Browns snag Pierre Desir. I think he will be a starter eventually.
Not real happy about the Raiders getting Keith McGill either.

Three Canadians selected thus far through six rounds. Two by the Baltimore Ravens in Brent Urban and John Urschel, the other was Laurent Duvernay-Tardif who went to the KC Chiefs.

Like the pick up of Mettenberger in the 6th round. Put some pressure on Locker to perform.

The Rams decide to take on Sam as a late 7th round pick....and the 1st round circus (at very least) of media attention around the selection.

Now they are out of the salary cap hell Al created the Raiders should turn the corner as this is essentially year one after having $50 million of last years cap money tied up into players that didn't even play for them. Very solid draft this year.

T. J. Jones was another Canadian drafted in the 6th round by Detroit this afternoon. Not bad having 4 Canadians taken the draft. I expect a few more to be signed as UDFA in the next day or so.

great draft and a great off season
even with all the cap room they didn't give away any big money or long term contracts, ton of flexibility going forward surrounding some real talent that Reggie has brought in

1st draft since 1937 where no Longhorns were picked. Just proves how bad Mack Brown was over the last 4 years. On the flip side Charlie Strong had 3 first rounders in Louisville.

Is Lovie Smith still Bucs coach? Cause they just spent every single draft pick on offense. Can't say I'm disappointed in that, offense was horrific last year and needed upgrades, and for Lovie to not even spend one pick on defense is encouraging. Perhaps he learned you actually need some offense to win.

Johnny Manziel has the best selling rookie jersey on NFLShop. #2? Michael Sam.
