No matter what you do, there will always be detractors. Who gives a crap what any of them think? Don't ever be afraid to be whoever you want to be.

Exactly. People are going to be snobs one way or another. You can't win, so why not get some enjoyment out of it? If someone has something to say about my Brinson 77 jersey, they can go ahead and say it, and I will go ahead and ignore them.

Pffft...Brinson??? When was he drafted?
Brinson?? More like Bringsome, as in bring some class because you need it.
Brinson? Nice name...
That's a dumb jersey!

See, who really cares what people say. I like when people do it! Good job

I would do it just to laugh at all the jersey nerds getting bent out of shape about it.

I wouldn't do it, but I'd also not fault someone for having their name on their jersey. Their money and all that. Wouldn't even put a player's name and number on the back of a jersey.

I think it's a bit cheesy and personally would never do it but don't really care if other people do it. I figure most people would want their favorite player over their own name anyways though. Only exception I could see is if it was a jersey you used for shinny or something like that. Wearing to the dome though definitely a player for me.

I know Saddledome workers get their own name on the back of a home jersey. Dunno about others.

I don't see any problem with it. Personally I wouldn't put my name if I buya jersey with numbers. I would put like 00 or no numbers with just my last name though. Otherwise I'll just keep the back blank.

There is a difference between a silly/witty phrase and someone's own last name. If you can't see the difference you are more of a "purist" than even you think.

I've always had an awesome concept in mind, and would love to wear it to a Canucks/Flames game someday.

Say, what ever happened to the CP jerseys?

I always thought it'd be great to have your user name on the back
