No, the game Gaudreau got a goal was a legit exhibition game and doesn't count towards the tournament points or standings.

It was a snap shot through a screen. Not to be a wet blanket, but if thats the highlight of the night it was a pretty slow night in sports. Oh, and go Johnny!

I try to wear at the Stumptown ice den and around town, but have had few people that recognize it's worth, even in tournaments with lots more Albertans.

Gaudreau's awareness is second to none. As impressive as his points were, I was watching him closely and the way he reads the play is extremely impressive. He has this knack for sneaking away from coverage in the offensive zone to get open at the right side of the net. The number of times he manages to do it was impressive.

Is there a video clip somewhere of the potential Sven injury? I watched the highlights on the IIHF website from the Swiss game but they did not show anything.

On a more serious note he does get pushed around sometimes.
When he is close to glass I worry someone will take his head off.

I know it's just a joke, and by all means continue to make it, but I'd highly recommend reading a book about World War 1.

then the French idea of defense in WWII that was terrible. It's not like the Germans would just drive around the Maginot line..

It's something that Gaudreau is going to need to overcome if he's to be the impact player we all hope he will be.
So far so good, however.

BS. That was an amazing goal. He drags it inside to avoid the D-man's stick and set up the perfect trajectory, timing with the position of the D and the corner of the net. Then releases an absolute missile.
