I would like to see testing before and after playoffs.
I'll tell you straight up if I was in the NHL and wanted to win more than anything and knew they wouldn't test for 5 months, damn straight I'd be using PID's.

They do test in the playoffs. Dougie Hamilton was randomly tested the other day:

I like it. Too bad the Bruins didn't beat the Oilers back then.

Iginla has been very good, but otherwise most of Bruins 'star' players are simply too old and/or slow and simply not all that good.
Bruins have led 12 minutes in this series.
They are really lucky they are still in this, never mind tied. By rights they should be down or out.
And that luck might be enough to get them by this series now. That's what good teams do.
Rask seemingly back on for doesn't hurt their chances either.

Same!
Add another one...
3. Long time rival of Montreal's, who at one point was a major rival of Calgary's. Enemy of my enemy is my friend.
Plus I once went to a game in Boston and it was the most fun I've ever had at a pro game. What a sweet place.
Glad they tied it up! Go B's Go!

Great series, maybe the only one that could match it would be LA vs Chicago.

Chara (37) and Iginla (36) are old. But Bergeron (28), Krecji (28), Rask (27) and Lucic (26) certainly are not. Rounding out their 50+ point scorers this year are Marchand (25) and Smith (23).
Montreal's style certainly does give them fits, however.

If they win the Cup with those pieces, and it's a decent bet they do, it doesn't matter how good the trade was for Dallas. A Cup win = successful trade even if you're a basement team in 3 years.

this is the first time I've seen Chara look mortal. Desharnais shouldn't be able to go near a corner with him in it, but he has been. Habs forecheck has been fantastic.

Hmmm. Poorly thought out on my part, obviously.
Marchand, Smith and Bergeron have been more or less as advertised, but the rest look really slow and late on the play, shells of what one might expect them to be. When Bourque's line, Iginla aside, is constantly dominating Krecji and Lucic - there is big reason for concern.
Montreal is too small. Big is good. But big and slow is no good.

As I noted, Montreal's style is not well suited for Boston's style. The difficulty for Montreal, however, is that they are firing on all cylinders right now while the Bruins are just muddling along, and yet they are a brilliant performance by Price in game 1 shy of being 3-1 down. If the Bruins (espeically Krecji and Lucic) find a way to step it up a gear, I don't think Montreal can match.
Montreal can win this series, but they are dancing on a knife's edge.

I don't know. I think that once he gets his big contract he is going to pull a Double Dion.
Also Soderberg is a machine. I wish he was on our team.

3. Bruin fans don't start singing Ole ole ole at the end of the first period when they are up 4-0 on the Flames.

I love when that chant bites them in the ass and they end up losing the game.

I think Montreal needed to win last night to win the series. Wouldn't suprise me to see the Bruins close it out in 6 now.

Well that almost happened that game. They start singing Ole ole ole when we were down 4-0 in 1st freaking period! and then we score 4 straight to tie it up. Too bad there is no hockey karma when Subban scored in OT and did his archer pose.

Clode should put Soderberg on the top line until Krejci does something useful.

I would disagree on the "all cylinders" thing. Vanek and Pacioretty have been horse , they should be scoring a lot more than they are. They have teammates who have stepped up big time. I would have loved to have seen Galchenyuk and Prust healthy for this series.

Disagree. Dion could arrogant or effective, but he's never been able to do both at once.
Subban has both down pat. He will be very good for a long time.
(I don't mean that as an insult either. Both have carried the attitude of "I'm better than you". Dion hasn't proven he is.)
