I think Lawrie has the ability to be a solid 2B, I haven't really seen something that would indicate otherwise.
It would also be nice not to have an automatic blackhole in the lineup. The offense seems to be really clicking with Francisco making some timely hits.

I was under the impression (from something said on a broadcast?) that Lawrie had little-to-no interest in being the full-time 2B for the team. That set off a bit of an alarm bell in my head. Surely if it would be better for the team, he'd play there ... I hope.

3 HRs so far this inning..........10-0 Jays in the 7th.
Nice to be on the right side of a blowout.

I think that was AA or Gibby saying that. I say do it while Francisco is hitting, if they have uncovered a gem, great, if not, move Lawrie back.
Likely though, Francisco is just on a hot streak, but the same could have been said for Bautista or EE.....he is only 26....

I suspect, Lind will be activated today.... Will be interesting to see what decision they make.

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have activated 1B ADAM LIND from the 15-day disabled list and have optioned RHP CHAD JENKINS to Buffalo of the International League (AAA)

Really surprised that it wasn't Navarro going onto the DL as the roster move, given how bad he looked while running last night.

Another big offensive game for the Jays tonight. Lind just hit an opposite field home run 7-2 Jays right now, bottom of the 6th. EE and Rasmus also have hit HRs today. Rasmus has hit 4 HRs in his last 7 games, which is insane.

Bautista singles to reach base for the 35th straight game which is amazing. EE hits a humungous home run, then Juan Francisco hits another one right after.
Really encouraging to see Encarnacion hitting some good balls again. With Melky hitting the way he is, Bautista being Bautista, and Edwin firing on all cylinders that is a very potent 2-3-4. Just need Reyes to get it together.

Nice to see them straighten out, now they need to keep it up, and not lose 2 or 3 in a row now.

Yep, that would have been something to consider but I've read he won't be going to DL and is expected back this weekend-ish. I just can't imagine Navarro playing on his legs could be a good thing right now (especially as a catcher).

No, he was really struggling ... Jays come out of it with a 1-0 lead. Hopefully he continues having a tough time with control.

There's one time the video review was needed. Looked out at first glance, but Navaro barely touched the lead leg coming into the plate. Good call.

Haven't watched a jays game in a while, too bad I caught a loss... Goggles lost it for them in the 9th.
Angel Hernandez has it in for the jays, some of the strikes and balls he was calling, he either needs glasses or his arguments with Jose Bautista have affected his professionalism. That first angels pitcher would have been knocked out early without a few bad calls he gave him.
Those hats were cheezy. We get it, you are trying to market the team to Canadians. Also how many times can you repeat the worst name in professional sports sportsnet. I think my wife snickered in the background at pooh hole 50 times tonight. Start calling the poor ####### Albert.
