I bought my PS4 fully aware that I wasn't really going to have anything to play until Spring/Summer at the earliest. I've actually been replaying some tight PS3 games, so I've been just fine.

Same deal here, getting tons of free games through PSN+, even my wife, a non-gamer, is interested in some of these games. My PS4 right now if for The Show and that's it, and I am fine with that. When the kids want to play, PS3 goes upstairs and daddy gets time to play The Show!

You know, instead of trolling, you could keep it, use it for a month or two, and actually have real experience with the product to base your opinions on.

No baseball game on Xbox made my choice clear so I picked up my sports console today at a steal. Got the PS4 slightly used with Ghosts and MLB the show for $400. I can't comment on the system yet I'm just about to try it out.

Seems kinda early for for Xbones to be "Manufacturer refurbished" but a good price ($380) and looks like they ship to Canada for a somewhat reasonable price. Ebay adds import charges though.

It is trolling and you know it. So what if the value goes down... Imagine you *gasp* actually try it and like the damn thing? Or at the very least, you'll have at least used it so your opinion on it won't be based on nothing.

what do you suggest I do with my kinect? what game should I try it with?
really I can't think of a reason to open the thing, looking for a sale or trade so if anyone is interested. Maybe for an ipad? other electronics? make me a cash offer?
thunderdome aside there is not enough games to justify owning both right now. I play fifa, ac, bf4 on ps4...really I am set for now

Whether the games make full use of the Kinect (Kinect Sports Rivals, Xbox Fitness) or lesser use (head tracking in Forza 5, voice lures in Dead Rising 3) doesn't really matter because the Kinect does more than that, so pick a game you like and play it. Where gaming is concerned, the tech is only getting better. Plug your cable box / PVR into the Xbox and try using voice to control that. Use Kinect to control your TV, PVR, and receiver. If you're serious in asking, then that's my advice. Just try using it like everybody else does for a few months.
I would never try and make a definitive statement on what using a PS4 is like because beyond playing it once at Best Buy (though the DS4 controller does feel better than the DS3 IMO), it's the same with criticizing the Xbox One without giving it an honest try. It's the same reason I will comment about experiences using iOS, Android, and WP... because I own at least one of each platform and have first-hand experiences with them. But I don't own a BlackBerry 10 device, so I'd never comment definitively on it.
One thing I've found incredibly useful: I was watching Archer on Netflix last night and went to get a drink, forgetting to pause the show. I said "Xbox, pause" and the show paused. Grabbed my drink, and as I was getting close to the couch "Xbox, play" and the show resumed as I sat down. Works with Netflix, works with live TV, works with music, etc. Don't have to use a remote, a controller, or my phone (though the TV guide function on Smartglass is cool).

^ Hope it gets better for Kinect implementation in gaming. They damn well better to go back and fix the disgusting shame that was Steel Battalion with those Kinect controls. Such a shame what they turned that game into.
I'd buy this again for a proper sequel:
Maybe we will see these things that TorqueDog has in-house sooner rather than later.

Still no official numbers for Titanfall sales. Even after the EA earnings report. I think analysts like Pachter were calling for 6-10 million prior to launch.
http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertco...sales-numbers/
Indeed the strangest part of the report is the fact that specific sales numbers for Titanfall are nowhere to be found. I’ve previously commented on how weird it’s been that EA and Microsoft MSFT +1.01% have been completely mute on Titanfall sales while Sony Sony celebrates far fewer copies moved for a game like Infamous: Second Son. The counter to my question at the time was that this earnings reports was right around the corner, and obviously they were just waiting to release the numbers in a more official, orderly capacity.
Not so, it seems, and now the questions only grow.
Though Titanfall didn’t appear to be a sales machine after launch, certainly no one was saying it was a flop or failure. But now EA’s noticeable reluctance to release any information about sales of the game on their end indicates they’re hiding what would be a disappointing figure.
All this data, or the lack of it, seems to point to a conclusion that Titanfall was something of a pretty big miss for EA and Respawn, despite almost universally positive reviews and word of mouth at launch. Yes, many players have been saying lately they put the game aside after a few weeks as it is a bit light on content, but I didn’t think an early drop-off time also meant the game had sold poorly.
EA keeping these numbers a secret seems like a worse play than coming out and saying “We’re proud of Titanfall’s 3 million sales to date (or whatever the number is), which is a great start for a brand new IP.” Instead, they’re treating what was supposed to be their new flagship game like they’re ashamed of it.

You and me both. If I worked at a game developer in some sort of creative director role for a game... the #### I would do.
I wouldn't use Kinect for primary controls (I don't want to make Kinectimals), but I'd use it to augment the experience. I've always found horror movies boring, but man... I'd make an action / horror game using the Kinect camera and IR data that scares grown men into having nightmares.

The biggest disappointment for the Xbox One for me so far is they still haven't released an extension cable for the kinect. The way my room is set up my gear rack is a good 20 feet away from the front of the screen, and about 35 feet once you consider I'll want to run the cable behind the baseboards to hide it.
So far I've only used the kinect for voice commands, and while that's neat, I think using it to do, for example, side looks in Forza would be great. So far I've only tried it once or twice and now the kinect is in my rack with everything else.

I've kind of always wondered how this would actually work. Okay, Kinect could track your head and adjust then in-game camera... But now you're actually looking away from your TV screen. Unless the idea is to just move your head and keep your eyes on the screen -- but then it isn't really a 'shoulder check' or side look or anything - just moving your head to move the camera.

I could see kinect being useful paired with an oculus or VR headset like Sony (I assume Microsoft is also making one?). Walk in place moves you forward, open a door, jump. I think that would be pretty cool.

It works kind of like the Trackir Pro. Look up a video, I have one of those on my computer and for flight sims it works great.
