Quote:
Damien Cox, one of Canada’s top sports journalists, will be bringing his spin full-time to Sportsnet, starting next month. The award-winning journalist will serve sports fans at the highest level in his new role as a lead insider for NHL coverage and a regular contributor across all platforms including Sportsnet, sportsnet.ca, Sportsnet magazine , Sportsnet 590 The FAN and Sportsnet 960 The FAN.

What a mistake it was for the NHL to make this deal with Sportsnet.

I really, really hope this deal bankrupts them and they are forced to sell their rights to TSN.

How does one get a job as an "insider"? Do you just show them your phone contacts? "See, I know these people! They might tell me stuff!"

I'll stick with sureloss for inside info.

"A" lead insider, not "THE" lead insider.

He is the worst, yes even worse than Shannon, Garrioch, and Strachan. Beyond the games I will still be watching TSN for all my hockey coverage. McKenzie is in a completely different league than this clown.

I have a hard time thinking there is anyone worse than Shannon. He is THE single most annoying person in Canadian sports media. Cox is probably next in line in that regard though.

This whole Sportsnet taking over all things sports in this country is nothing but bad for fans. As others have said, I'd be a whole lot more comfortable if it was TSN that had done this.
