Default Anyone have a chain saw? Want free fire wood?

I have a tree on my front yard...it needs to go.

Its a Birch tree, which I understand is good for firewood?

If anyone has a chain saw and wants to come to Killarney to cut it down please PM me.

I had another one on yard that someone cut down for firewood two years ago. Also if someone owns/knows a good stump removal company, please contact me.

Thanks!

Timely post as I may have a crab apple tree that will be removed this summer. If anyone wants to help take down the tree and wants the wood we can make arrangements.

Just make sure you video a random stranger chainsawing a tree while it falls on your house, the Internet begs you.

How big is this tree trunk? I might be interested in the truck for some wood working - apple trees usually have high figure on the inside. Consider me interested.

I measured the circumference at ~42 inches so just over a foot in diameter. There should be about 9 or 10 feet of usable trunk.

That's what she said.

Cool, sounds like a fair amount of usable wood.

Perhaps send me a PM when you are thinking about taking this thing down.

Cheers!

^^Wow could they get any dumber? The tree was leaning to the right and it fell to the right!? What a shocker. "And it's going the wrong way"...it went the right way and anybody with common sense would have figured it was going to fall on the house.

Send me a PM as well. I'd be interested in the branches. I use them to smoke fish

his notch wasn't deep enough, I've seen my dad drop a tree exactly where he wanted. that lean should have been able to be overcome.
