Montreal Canadiens remain in control despite being dominated by Boston Bruins for much of series http://natpo.st/1kZdqX4

I have 50+ hockey jerseys none of which are Montreal Canadiens jerseys, nor have I ever rooted for them to win a game in my life. #GoBruins

looked to me like urgency on behalf of Subban created by 2 bruins going for the puck when Price was on the other side. More importantly you Bruins fans need to realize that Boston has gotten away with plenty of non-calls, this isn't a conspiracy to make Montreal win. Pk got hit in the face with a stick, Lucic got away with a blatant spear worthy of getting a game suspension in the last series, a Hab was about to shoot right in the slot when his stick was slashed in half. That one was as good of a scoring chance as the Bruins had at the end of the game.
Please stop seeming so sour about it, this is a great series. If you want excuses for the Bruins look at how banged up they appear to be, Boston should be dominating Montreal.

Nothing quite so ironic as Montreal bandwagoners whining about the whining of others.

The whining tastes sweet to one group & bitter to the other. But it's not all bad. There's something you can take to reduce the bitterness.
Would you like some French cries with that whine ?

For what it's worth, I think the emotion people have built up about this series makes it more interesting to watch from the sidelines.

P.K getting some 'love' in beantown?
http://www.bostonglobe.com/sports/20...52M/story.html
Quote:
He is Pernell Karl “P.K.” Subban, and you cannot take your eyes off him. He is Montreal’s best player and he is the man who is thus far killing the Bruins in their conference semifinal series.
Subban is everywhere on the ice. He is in the middle of all the action. He has scored three goals in three games and he is, in the words of former Celtics general manager Jan Volk, “the consummate provocateur.’’
It is hard to remember anyone who has made more news in the first three games of any playoff series. Subban has 6 points in three games and has been involved in multiple controversies. He has thus far been better than (gulp) Zdeno Chara.
|
Quote:
“He’s doing a good job creating space for himself,’’ said Thornton. “He’s getting on his horse and getting back as quickly as possible. You’ve got to tip your hat to him. He’s playing a great series.’’
That hurts. The last thing we want to hear is the Bruins grudgingly giving credit to P.K. Subban.
Subban deflected all praise, saying, “I’m just the beneficiary of guys playing well around me, supporting me. We did it together. It’s not just one or two guys. It’s everybody.’’

My rooting for Montreal is just about rooting for the underdog once the Flames are out of it. I always just default to that position. In reality, I have very little interest in this series though and wouldn't care if Boston won either, except for the fact that it would make me have to root for the Pens (probably) in the next round, and I dislike them as well. All in all, I think that I am pretty neutral for the most part in this series, except for the underdog part. The complaining about the refs thing is turning me off Boston more and more though.
The Bruins are a hard team for me to like at the moment, although traditionally I have liked them somewhat.

Apparently Boston has mixed up their lines:
Boston Bruins@NHLBruins8 mins
Line rushes, for what it's worth: Lucic-Bergeron-Eriksson, Paille-Krejci-Smith, Marchand-Campbell-Iginla, Fraser-Caron-Thornton ^CS

Normally I would only be interested in the great rivalry once again unfolding in the playoffs, although I do have a mild distaste for the Canadiens. However, the only reason I am pulling for Boston is really quite simple: Jarome Iginla. If it weren't for him I wouldn't be nearly as invested in this series as I am.
Very excited for tonight's game.

The biggest problem with Boston right now is the fact that Krejci hasn't shown up. He can't even win a damn faceoff anymore.

You can credit Tomas Plekanec for that. He neutralized Krejci and his line because of his effort, smarts and elite defensive game.
He's as good as Bergeron, but unfortunately receives little recognition or credit of his play leaguewide.

I'm sure Plekanec is helping, but Krejci was awful in the Detroit series too.

Chara's performance, or lack thereof has got to be more important than Krejci. Bruins can survive without Krecji but when their captain is a liability because he's almost certainly playing injured they will have a tough time winning games.
