One look at the TSN comments section just confirms that you can paint all Habs fans with the same brush, they are all obnoxious.

Another example is umps refusing to call a third strike in the playoffs if it would end the game. You either go down swinging, hit a pop fly, or end up on base. No called strikes allowed.

I actually love all the Habs fans I know personally (except my Uncle). I love going out for beers with them, and will feel a bit bad for them if Montreal gets knocked out.

I'm a Bruins fan second (and it's a distant second from the Flames, which is unfortunate for me) but goddamn the fans of both the B's and Habs are obnoxious. And whiny. And conspiracy-y.
The refs are somehow in the pocket of both teams, which probably means they are doing it right.

My original fan preferences come from the old 6 team NHL. In those times almost all western Canadians cheered for the Leafs. Talk about obnoxious and 50 years later they still feel entitled. Anyways being someone who didn't like to follow the horde, I cheered for the Habs and still do when the Flames aren't involved. I'd like for Iginla to do well but when it comes to who I really cheer for, I can't help myself it's the Canadiens.

I can't remember ever seeing a penalty shot calling when a guy knocks the net off like that unless its something that happens during a scoring chance. Just knocking it off when skating to get the puck behind the net - I don't think I have ever seen that called.

The reaction to that play from some here was amusing - or perhaps more accurate was embarrassing. A loose puck behind the net that Subban was clearly getting to and possibly/likely clearing from the zone - instead resulted was a faceoff in their own end - a worst case scenario for the Habs. Subban is occasionally a nightmare in his own end - this was an example of that.
Now had the Bruins control, and/or a scoring chance...

This is my exact reaction.
How are people mad at THAT play? Having the play called dead was probably the worst possible outcome for the Habs and best possible for the Bruins. If he didn't idiotically knock the net off, the puck would be cleared and the game is over.
Instead, they have to take a faceoff in their own zone when the Bruins get to set up a 6 on 4 with their best faceoff man.
And people are still up in arms. Wonder if people are ever going to give the Habs credit for their play.

Chara looks pretty hurt imo. The guy can barely move out there, and where he'd usually be throwing guys bodily from in front of his net, now he can barely move em.
Subban sure is fun to watch!

They have been okay but they pretty well had a 1st round bye and are benefitting from being kryptonite to the Bruins. I said before the series that when these two teams meet you throw out the records because the Habs simply always give the Bruins fits in the playoffs. I will give them credit for being opportunistic as this team may defeat the Bruins but they won't win the cup which is all that matters.

They've been the better team in 2/11 periods. Not surprising people aren't giving them credit. Price and Subban deserve credit though. They're special players.
