Margie and Luke miss the flight and the quick connecting flight and end up far behind the pack....and eliminated. Brenchel got lucky on the connecting flight

Tough to see my all time favorite Amazing Race team go down due to crappy flight bookings.

I've never been a huge fan of Margie and Luke because of his temper trantrums, but with that being said, I really liked their determination this season and how well they handled the last leg.
Once they didn't decide to go connecting route, they knew that they were done and just enjoyed being able to travel to a far off country. Even Luke said at the mat how incredibly lucky they were to be able to do the race 3 times.

I'll admit that part of the reason I like this team is that I like people who hate to lose. and I put Luke firmly in that category.

I like people who hate to lose too, but I strongly dislike people who hate to lose and throw temper tantrums about it.

so the country singers get lucky on another non elimination leg....but things arent looking good for them. Tough leg and once again Brenchel gets off lucky at the gas station.
Pretty decent year so far.

The singers said it best last night - no one is making mistakes out there. Neat to see a season where the competency level is much higher.

Jessica and John take ClubFlames out last night.
Flight time and Big Easy get real lucky when Leo and Jamal help them finish their last challenge.
Brachel somehow wins the leg...gack
Cowboys need to pick it up a notch.

After getting lost in the city thanks to bad cab drivers how does one team let alone THREE teams simply assume the girls are still behind them when all they had extra was a speed bump (though perhaps the longest speed bump ever)?
And the Globetrotters....yikes. Wow. You got lucky. Not just because you don't have a clue on roman numerals or actually reading the clue itseld, but because John is apparently the worst sprinter ever seen on the amazing race. I think perhaps he was still assuming they were safe and stopped trying. If so it will be the second time his idiotic decision got them eliminated as Jessica had out run Big Easy.
At this stage I hate it when teams really help each other but at least Leo and Jamal got the agreement that they are not to be passed so they made sure they remain in the race. The look on their faces when they were told they were 5th and not 4th was one of complete disbelief.
Brachel...yep she's annoying, but they ran a good leg. Especially at the roadblock.

Exactly, if you have not seen a team in a while assume they are ahead of you. Better to be wrong in that assumption then to find out at the mat.
That speed bump was a long one, most of them recently have been at the same spot as the next checkpoint. When I saw that I thought they were goners.

My god I'm sick of people whining when they get u-turned. It's part of the game people get over it. I'm not a fan of Brendan and Rachel but if the decision was to bank some first place prizes then they made the correct call. Overall $1 mil prize perhaps not the correct call but what they did was sound.
But seriously old man get over it. And please she might not be the best looking person in the world but seriously quit with the "she looks scary" teenager crap.
I guess I just never understand the whining from some teams as it gets near the end and other teams use the tools available to them to win legs or stay in the race. It's in the game. It's not like they took your cab or something (which I also have no problem with).
Navigation kills the globetrotters.

killer_carlson and DOOM are taken out by Flight Time and Big Easy's issues with building or riding donkey's.
Still hate Brachel regardless of the fact they U-Turned a team, who cares, the whole piece in the church was revolting.

I'll tell you this...if I was ever on the race I'd likely be hated by the end. Alliances, help and being generally friendly have their uses but once you get to this point that should all go out the window. This obsession of teams doing tasks together and waiting for the other team to finish is going to cost someone. It's "fine" if you know you have a good lead but still not advisable. When not in the lead it is plain stupid.
Again, not a fan of Brachel but well done using a u-turn. Connor and David can go bye bye just for the whining. Hoping for a Cowboy win at this point. Leo and Jamal who I did not like last time around would be OK as well.

Well of course it was a non emlimation night. I had a feeling that it would also be a time catch up episode when no one on the train was mentioning how the cowboys where not there. Those teams really need to get over the butthurt with Brachel. It's a game.
But seeing the promos for next week it looks like Leo and Jemall get to the Double U-Turn first...so I'm just guessing who they U-Turn. Hopefully the Cowboys can get there second and skate by unscathed.

Every amazing race episode when a team of hot woman comes up last it's a guarantee that it's a non elimination leg. Every single season. Blatantly for ratings.

They are predetermined I believe and I'd wager have a lot to do with production schedules. Some races have had 2 and others 3.
This is also a more traditional non-elimination leg. Either happens with 5 teams or 4 teams left every single race I believe. Also happens leg 6 or 7 every race I believe.
Anyways...I suspected it was a non-elimination this time around. I'm also sick of the u-turn whining. Get over it already. Please.
I don't think the Leo and Jamal U-turn Brenchel next week....unless they are nipping at their heels. Through nearly two racers they seem a team that doesn't lose site of the fact there is only one winner. Even in making the "alliance" this past leg they made mention they could outrun them all to the mat. If I had my druthers I'd want Brenchel, Afghanimals and Cowboys in the final three. 3 teams that simply race.

brocoli and Cheese are out as the Cowboys have a bad leg and get turfed. Too bad non-elimination legs dont happen when the good teams end up last.
Getting tiring listening to the other teams talk about the u-turn of Brenchel.
Afghanimals looking pretty now...not much competition left for them as long as Jamal's knee holds up.

Whine whine whine whine whine. Sick of that whining about an "inappropriate" U-turn. Geez. Nothing inappropriate about trying to ensure yourself a leg win or targeting a strong team. Both of which are true. Same thing goes for the Cowboys comments on when they got U-turned. Calling it a dirty play and showing what kind of people the Afghanimals really are.
Afghanimals actually use a U-turn properly and eliminate a strong team. They may have been eliminated anyways but smart move to throw as many hurdles at them as possible to get rid of them.
I sort of tuned out but why did Dave and Connor say they couldn't U-turn someone? Were they just pretending to take the high road or did they use a U-turn earlier? I honestly can't remember.
Not sure who wins this other than not the girls. Should be pretty close.
I just want an old school race. No alliances. Just race. I wonder if there is a new twist they can bring in that would discourage alliances?
So basically....go Afghanimals. never thought I'd say that as I didn't care for them last time out. Not a Brenchel fan at all but it has to be one of those two teams. Teams that just race. I wonder if someone helps out the girls next time (seriously have they done anything on their own this race?) to try to get a weak team into the final leg?

Dave and Connor already used their U-Turn on the Afghanimals on the earlier leg where they were U-Turned by Brendan and Rachel. You can only use a U-Turn once.
If the Afghanimals had U-Turned Brendan and Rachel, they wouldn't have been able to U-Turn anyone either. It's hard to know if that would have been enough to push them out, but it likely would have since it didn't seem like the Cowboys were that far behind on the Running of the Bulls/Balls.
