ouch. It's scary how inconsistent they are. Sometimes they look like a NHL team, and sometimes a JR team.
Baertschi kind of vanished a lot, wonder if he is hurt.

Hey, do any of you who have watched Breen play a lot this year think he has any hope of playing for the Flames at any point? I've only seen him play a couple of times.

Disappointing end to a great season. This team will be even stronger next year.. those Wings are just so deep.

Bit of bad luck getting Grand Rapids on the last day of the season. Would have preferred the Marlies or Chicago in round 1.

With the Wild advancing to the second round, and taking Granlund and Niederreiter with them, I wonder if that opens to door for Granlund and Baertschi to get invites to the World Championships?

Don't think Baertschi is hurt. He had stretches like this during the season. He would just disappear completely.

I don't think so. He's had tries before with the Flames but doesn't do much. I don't think he will be a regular with the Flames.

Too bad for the CPers that were able to go to the games in Abbotsford. I enjoyed your take on how the prospects were doing. Thanks for your work over the last few years.

That's too bad. It'd be nice to have that size in the lineup.

I'm having less and less faith in Sven these days, whereas Granlund has made me more and more hopeful. And he's a center to top it off. Excited at what he's shown and what he can become. Don't know if there's space for him and Reinhart on the big roster (with a healthy lineup), maybe one of them. But both are clearly bubble NHLers at this point.

Sucks that the farm will be relocated far away. It was pretty convenient having them just a 50 minute flight from YYC. Call ups won't be able to be made so last minute next season.

For those who watched, does it look like Sven needs another season to mature in minors?

Doubt Sven would get the call seeing he wasn't considered for the Olympic team and he hasn't exactly been paying great in the AHL.

I haven't watched but it's hard to imagine him making the Flames given he's been passed on the depth chart by several players. He's going to have to have a hell of a training camp or chances are he will be one of the first few players sent down during training camp.

He simply isn't ready for the NHL and hopefully he can come to camp in a better mental state and play better regardless of it being in the AHL or NHL.

Sven has flashes of brilliance, and is really streaky, unless he is amazing at camp I'd say another year in the AHL. If he finds a consistency in his overall game he'll be an amazing player. He's produced at +1 ppg for decent periods of time, I'm hopeful that he starts off great and gets a call up half way through and stays up.

I bet Granlund will make it right out of camp, same with Gaudreau.

Just for fun I started playing around with potential line combos for next year's Adirondack Heat. If management decides to "overcook" some of these guys with one more season in the AHL, this could be a dynamite roster.

Reinhart, Granlund, Baertschi
Gaudreau, Arnold, Poirier
Ferland, Knight, Agostino
Van Brabant, Olson, Wolf
