I will never forget the night my brother-in-law and I went to a Habs game in Beantown. Bruins were far out of the playoffs that year but had won the game. The comments we got leaving the game was some of the most vulgar stuff I have ever heard. I remember a few things I won't repeat on here, something about being a bunch of "Moose-fu***** from Canada" and one guy trying quite aggressively to get in our cab presumably to beat us up? All class. Boston might be strong but it can also can be incredibly dumb.

From personal experience I can say that Boston and New York are home to horrible sports fans. Aggressive professional drinkers with insane pride in their city and teams that manifests itself in ugly ways. Boston got a pass from me for playing and beating Vancouver, but Montreal gets my support this year.

The tweets aren't fake. It happened when Joel ward barrows them too. I'm rooting for Montreal now. The classless bruins fit the classless city of Boston.
Subban seems so humble in his interview especially when he says price should be there maybe I'm wrong but he seems like a nice guy maybe this will fire him up

Well, Canadiens fans seem to be more unified in their xenophobia than Boston fans in their sporadic racism.
Based on your own standards, I guess you really can't root for them either.

That goes both ways I've heard Canada's anthem get booed to I love canada a lot more then pk subban lol but still apparently there was 75k tweets that dropped the word to subban it's still offensive and you gotta feel bad for the guy the flames aren't in the playoffs so I really don't care who wins but stuff like this make me want subban especially to get the series.
I'm in Boston and may end up going to the game tomorrow. Crazy how I can still get tickets on ticketmaster. If I look on stubhub I find a bunch cheaper then face value.

Wow, really? That's seriously surprising to me. I thought Boston was sold out on season tickets with a waiting list?

I bought 3 tix in Jan this year at centre ice, 15th row on stubhub an hour before the game vs the Leafs at face value and the seller had a block of 8 or 10, of which 2 others were sold
Has the chest thumping been brought up yet? Lucic is bad enough, but he comes across as a knucklehead anyways, and when Krug did it too, that grated on me even more.
I can cheer for Iggy to win but if he breaks out a chest thump I don't know

There's the tendency to pile on Boston and its pretty terrible history of race relations, and, of course, this same damn thing happened there with Joel Ward two years ago. But search Twitter any time a black player does something notable, especially in a sport with as proportionately white a fan base as hockey's, and you're going to find ugly stuff. Rangers fans flung slurs after Wayne Simmonds's hat trick on Tuesday. Evander Kane hears it all the time. Hell, someone in Montreal threw a banana at Kevin Weekes. This isn't a Boston thing; it isn't a hockey thing; it isn't a sports thing. It's a some-human-beings-are-awful-and-Twitter-makes-it-easier thing.
