They threw garbage at the Habs? That's hilarious.
The pig can smother on its lipstick for a couple days. After that it'll be exposed just for what it is, a big fat nasty stinkin' pig! I mean great, game 1.. Did they not see the last series? Habs will get bulldozed the rest of the way.

Did they actually hit Subban? I saw stuff all around him, did not know they hit him. Pretty sad that the fans were a more accurate shot than Lucic, Iginla and Krejci combined.

Scored a couple goals, including OT winner, dropping Rask lifetime record at home versus habs to 0-9.
Inspired a lot of hate, as usual - I think there is only one rational explanation why...
He definitely loves the spotlight, but always intelligent, classy and well spoken off the ice. Always. Despite been pelted by moronic, classless fans (and nice work here by those supporting that kind of activity)

"I thought we did a good job moving the puck and our forwards did a good job down low and getting the puck back to the point,” said Subban. “Between all our centremen and Carey Price, that was the difference tonight.”
“We’ve been in this position more than a few times in the playoffs over the past few years. I remember we won two games to start the series here in (2011) and we ended up losing in seven,” said Subban.
“(The Bruins) are a resilient team and they find a way to persevere. We’re also a resilient team and it’s good that we found a way to win. When there’s a success, you gotta take it and get better. There are a lot of things we have to get better at. I can tell you we can’t keep giving up 50-plus shots for the rest of the series. Pricey shouldn’t have to stop that many pucks."
“Both goaltenders played well but I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I think (Price) is the best goaltender in the league,” Subban said.

It's funny how swagger is something that quite a few on this board love when it's Boston, but hate when it's the Hawks and hate double when it's Subban.
(Of course there are a lot of Canadian fans that generally seem to hate everything fun.)

So Bruin fans aren't particularly bright, but going after Subban with the racial blasts when his brother is in your own teams system? Good thing Iginla had a great year or they'd probably be piling on him too.
Quote:
– N***** was trending in Boston because P.K. Subban scored… It’s a rare moment in my life to be ashamed to be a Bruins fan.
– I bet the Bruins fans calling P.K. Subban a n***** on Twitter have no idea his brother plays for their minor league team.
– the hashtag #N***** is trending in Boston after Subban’s goal. Do they tweet this after a David Ortiz HR? f*** off Boston, be better.
– F*** YOU N***** SUBBAN YOU BELONG IN A F****** HOLE NOT AN ICE RINK
– PK Subban = F****** N*****
– F*** PK Subban. F****** n*****. Wish he got sold” your mother should have swallowed you
– Someone needs to smack PK subban across his big n***** lips. #scumbag
– N***** trending in Boston- #NHL another sport with issues

Bruins are the only team from the east with a legit chance at winning the cup IMO.

Funny thing about race, it's not as binary as people often think it is. It's hard to think of Iginla as black, because
a) he's not very black
b) he doesn't sound very black.

Subban's a heck of a player. If he was on the Flames, he would instantly be our best player.
I missed the game but watched the highlights and it looked to me like after both goals he scored, he stayed relatively composed as to not give the Bruins too much to feed off of. He seems to me to be turning into a mature professional. At the very least, he doesn't seem to taunt or showboat too excessively.

a) he looks pretty black. Facial features tell all
b) what does that mean? These are Canadians, born in Canada
Anyways, back to the hockey.
Bruins just need to stop running around and focus on putting the puck on net, and every other cliché about keeping things simple.

Bruins will be just fine, only 30 or so more hours of weak Habs trash talk to endure until this one is knotted up at 1.

That's the definition of unsportsmanlike.

The Flames were never dominated the way the Canadiens were dominated last night.
The Habs did not deserve to win. 90% of the team was garbage.
The only Canadien players to show up was Price and Subban.

Try the 2007 first round if you want to see a Flames team get dominated ten times as bad as the Habs last night. That was the year that Iginla and the rest of the leadership core quit on the team to try to get the coach fired, only guy who showed up for the series was Kipper. That series epitomized why the Flames were always hot garbage once Darryl was not the coach and never had a hope in hell of winning a playoff series unless Kipper started scoring goals.
2007 was the year that the Flames got thumped on the last game of the regular season at home by the powerful Edmonton Oilers (in their continuing effort to get the coach fired) and had to wait til the next day to see Colorado lose to squeak into the playoffs. They were successful in finishing off the coach in the playoffs, they were so awful that even Darryl Sutter could not deny that his vaunted leadership crew had quit on the coach.

You don't get to remove the outliers. If you look at 100% of the team, they deserved the win. Still think Boston will take the series. Hope I'm wrong.

I don't understand how anyone could think a group of NHL players would sacrifice their Cup hopes to get a coach fired.

I thought it was awesome how Subban was a little pissed that Oake was interviewing him and not Price after the game.
