Eh, the Bruins started figuring out how to play the Habs before the end of this game. It took them pretty much a full game to get Detroit's number. They'll be fine.
NBC colour guy on Chara taking a smaller Hab into the boards: "It's like an eclipse....a total eclipse of the hab."

God I hate Montreal and their fans so much. I don't care how classless it was by the Bruins fans, I loved seeing beer cups and garbage being thrown at that waste of an NHL franchise. Subban is one of the most annoying players in the NHL and Gallagher is a diver.

I missed it. What did Subban do? Both goals were great shots.

From what I saw, Boston looked either sloppy or nervous. Something wasn't right. Looked like a regular season game. You expect them to be a lot sharper around the net.

No way the Habs can keep up physically with the Bruins. I know I saw the hits were something like 50-42 Bruins but there is no way that was accurate. By game 3 or 4 it's gonna become a chore to go into the corners for them.

Habs will not win the Cup relying on their goalie to bail them out that much.
Heck, they won't win this series relying on their goalie to bail them out that much.

If Boston starts putting those wide open chances on net, no goalie will win a game let alone a series.

Meh, I am curious what team "loyal Flames fans" will have to cheer for next year after Boston fails to win the Cup this year. Last year loyal Flames fans were Pens fans, this year they are Bruins fans. It would be funny if Iginla pulled a conference final Hossa this year. Thankfully for a number of people it does not appear that the Flames will play an Iginla team in the playoffs anytime soon otherwise a number of people would likely have a real conundrum on their hands as to who to cheer for.

Paper-bag worthy post. Do you have any rational thoughts you can share next time?

They were cheering for the Flames... since they were playing in the same game. Right now... they are not playing in the same game or even the playoffs. You guys really don't get this or what's the deal?
Some of us are hockey fans as well as Flames fans and it is (get this) fun, to cheer for someone else when your team doesn't currently exist.

I'm already starting to see the "Habs are Canada's team" BS on twitter/Facebook. Please knock these guys out Boston.

We'd cheer for the Flames buddy. I don't get why us Flames fans always get made fun of for cheering for Iginla? He's the best player we've ever had, what's wrong with wanting to see him win? There's nothing wrong with bandwagoning a team in the playoffs when your favourite team didn't make it, and since 99.99% of Flames fans are Iginla fans, a lot of us choose to cheer for the team he's on. It's not like we're suddenly claiming to be die-hard Bruins fans.

LA I would assume.
In fact I know several who are cheering LA now. Robyn Regher was also a fan favorite, and Darryl Sutter has a few fans yet too.
Edit: Read that as who to cheer for after if Boston gets eliminated. Still a valid option though.

I cheer for nobody. Flames are out, I'm out. Simple as that.

For years Oilers and Canucks fans would trash the Flames saying they would be a last place team without Kiprusoff and I would always respond that the goalie is part of the team. It now feels very odd to hear Flames fans saying Montreal didn't deserve to win because they relied on a hot goalie.
