It should be Giroux because the Flyers are a dumpster team when he doesn't score, but it will be Crosby.

That's tough. Like cody said, I think (especially this year) Giroux was the player out of the three that had the biggest impact on his team, maybe even by far. Crosby was great as always, but seemed a little more human this year than in years past, a little less fire in the belly.

I'd put Giroux at the top, with Getzlaf followed by Crosby, but I don't expect Giroux to win it over the other two.

Gotta say Giroux... Not a great team but he helped carry them to the playoffs

Funny how Giroux was taking heat in the first quarter of the season for a lackluster start to which he pulled a 180 on the rest of the season and carried the Flyers on his back. This one is tough because you can make a case that the Penguins had a lot of injuries to key players but Crosby even with a substandard for him season kept them in the race for the conference. As for Getzlaf you can always make a case because without him or Perry that team isn't making the playoffs let alone factoring in the Presidents Trophy race. I think Crosby will win because he won the scoring race and the Penguins were decimated by injuries.

Freidman says he will vote for Getzlaf, because he played in a much tougher conference.

Good to see someone with a vote take that angle but most of the votes come from the east where a lot of these guys rarely saw the Ducks play.

I'm anticipating getting roasted for this one...

I think Giroux is over-rated... somehow he gets talked about amongst the upper-tier of player in the NHL and I just don't see it.

He's great, for sure...and I enjoy watching him play...but there are many better and more valuable players in the NHL...

Crosby, Stamkos, Keith, Weber, Toews... even Bergeron, Kopitar, Getzlaf...

... to me, he's more on par with players like Tavares, Malkin (maybe he's above), Ovechkin, Perry, Pietrangelo, Kane, Duchene, etc.

Anyway, blast away.

You really can't see Giroux, Tavares or Malkin as some of the "top-tier" players in the NHL? But you think Bergeron and Kopitar are? Alright then.

I'd love to see Getzlaf get it, but I think it goes to Crosby.

They picked # 1, 2 and 3 in points in the NHL, 2 in the East and 1 in the West. Crosby was #1 by a mile. I cant see him not winning it.

I actually think Varlamov should have been a finalist as well. He was great and carried the team, even though the Avs defence is terrible.

Ya, I don't know I got the groupings right at all, that's tough as players have unique strengths and weaknesses... my point is Giroux (along with Tavares and Malkin, if you like)... are NOT as valuable to ANY team compared to players like Crosby, Toews and even Stamkos... and, some of high-end D like Keith and Weber.

In that respect (the fact he's mentioned in that grouping) I consider Giroux to be over-rated... I suppose I'd say the same thing about Kopitar and Bergeron if they were mentioned in that group, so I was mistaken there, for sure... trying a little too hard to make a point.

Surprised at the lack of posters saying Crosby should take it. If moon was still here he'd be putting you guys through hell and back.
