So, the Colorado pick will be 54-56 depending on what Boston and Anaheim do in the next round. If they both lose, it will be 54; if one loses, it will be 55; and if they both win the next round, it will be 56.

From what I hear, Avs fans are actually knowledgable and one of the last US teams that you can make jokes about. That said, I was at a game earlier in the year when I went down for a Broncos game and either my above statement is complete BS or I was in a bad section.
"That should be worth 3 pts because it was at the arc"
"They are not setting up the pick & roll"
"Why doesnt he skate all the way down and then the shoot it down to him"
Comments like that and the shooooooooottttt every time someone has the puck nearly drove me out of the Pepsi center

She's probably a diehard fan from 2003 and is reliving that crushing defeat. The guy behind her is probably pointing out that Roy is now the coach and not the goalie and that Sakic and Foote were in the press box and not on the ice like they all were when they lost 11 years ago.

I picked Minny to win this series, and really like them as a team, but the ridiculous, utterly unfounded hate for Colorado in this thread is rapidly turning me into an Avs fan.
Any accusations of Colorado tanking are astonishing hypocrisy considering what the Flames did at the deadline last year, and stink of naked jealousy. Yeah, it would be cool to have MacKinnon, but we don't, so get over it. He's a great hockey player on an exciting young team that plays a style of hockey that's seriously fun to watch.
Go Avalanche, and y'all haters can go stuff yourselves.

They are a fanbase that had a ready made Cup winner dropped in their laps, won two and then when the team was bad they abandoned them like they were a house on fire. I put Avs fans at the same level as Pens fans. Fairweather to the extreme.

Bah.. That could be said for 80% of nhl team fans and probably most sports. Need to win to get fans to pony up the $
