Interesting to see who they replace him with. I know lots of fans don't like Torts but if you take a look at his career he's a pretty good coach. No guarantee that the replacement is a better coach. I'm worried they may go after Trotz but being without a GM I would hope that leaves enough time for another team to snap him up.

It was an interesting experiment. Maybe Toronto will be his next stop as I'm sure Carlyle will not be around for next season. Big win for NYR tonight so that it somewhat humorous when you consider the coach swap.

Be careful what you wish for in Keenan. He is a good coach. I don't know how stacked his KHL team was this season but he coached them to a title.
I also wonder if they'll go hard after Trotz as well. Knowing full well now that FLA is pursuing him as well.
Torts needs a break. And he wasn't nearly the right coach for that roster in Vancouver.

I guess the question is will Sportsnet be able to afford him for next year? If they want to impress me they'd hire Torts for at least the upcoming year.
