He just means fans need to keep expectations realistic. Too much hype built around Baertschi, he failed to live up to that hype this season, and now they're trying to stop the same thing from happening to Poirier. I see no issue.

It's unfortunate that his name is always the only one coming up.
He'll have to deal with it, but as a human being, it's not something easily done, especially when it happens over and over again.
Yes, he should handle it as a professional, but as a fan it would like nice if we'd stop putting him in such situations to begin with.

His name is coming up as I would guess he is under performing.... He should be one of the top players on the Farm...
As a Fan, I have no problems with it at all......
He could have it worse with a hard nose type of a Coach

Doesn't he have something like 20 points in his last 18 games? A lot of people here also considered him to be among the best players in game 1. I just don't think that the added pressure is necessary even if, yes, he should deal with it.

Not that I'm expecting a comeback at this point but the situation in Abbotsford wasn't great to begin with and probably awkward for the players after the announcement of the move. I suspect they are glad to be on the road.

Of course I hope for the Heat to win, but winning all 3 in the Griffins' barn? highly unlikely ....

All 3? I might agree improbable.
Push them to Game 5? More likely.

Ward's comments weren't terrible, but there's something to be said for having your name used as a cautionary tale.
I think Ward could have conveyed the same idea without specifically mentioning Sven.

I don't disagree, as a professional he has to learn to deal with it and I'm sure he will ….professionalism is something that should flow in every direction….especially when you're in the position with all the power

I actually think that quote by Ward is kind of dickish too.

The Heat haven't had a home-ice advantage all season. At least away from home they get to play in front of a crowd. An enemy crowd but a crowd none the less.
Also, there is a certain poster who has been trolling the backburner and Heat related forums for a few months now. I would really appreciate it if you guys would all put him on your ignore lists to keep the discussions geared away from his nonsense. If you don't want to put the user on ignore, at the very least, please, DO NOT FEED.
Thanks guys.

Some people are a little oversensitive to anyone in the organization saying something that isn't gushingly positive about Sven. It's comical.

Poirier-Locke-Baerstchi looks lethal. I would think they would play their proper wings though.

The anthemist is having a meltdown.
She messed up Oh Canada and stopped singing to pull out lyrics after calming herself down.
