Simmonds opens the scoring for the Flyers! One of his typical hard-work net front goals muscling a loose puck in. I'm a huge fan of Simmonds, I would probably weep openly if was traded to the Oilers as was rumored earlier this year.

Now that is hat crazy! Gord Miller is not exaggerating how many hats are on the ice.

That was a ridiculous amount of hats. They just kept coming even while the arena staff were frantically trying to clean them up.

TSN said they filled 14 garbage bags of hats.

Been pulling for the Flyers since the start. As the series wore on I really started to question their defensive game and scoring depth. Great to see Simmonds with the hatty, but still need to see Couturier, Schenn, Hartnell, Vorachek, and most of all, Giroux score more. Can't ask for all of them to step up at the same time, but they do need contributions from those guys going forward.
Also, garbage bags for a hatty clean up?? I don't even think Edmonton does that..
Really want a Flyers-pens matchup. Pens-Rags I wouldn't watch.

Three game sevens for tomorrow... nice!
Any reason why Flyers/Rangers are playing tomorrow though? Something must be happening in MSG on Thursday I assume.

The NHL wants all series finished by Wednesday so the second round can start on Thursday. The reason games six and seven are played on consecutive nights is that earlier in the series, there were two days off in between games and that happened twice. I recall that the Philadelphia arena had an event last Thursday. The Bruins-Habs 2011 series had games six and seven played on consecutive nights.

Unless otherwise, I think they just want to finish up the round.

Hope the Flyers win tomorrow. There's just something about the Rangers that make me yawn.

The second Ranger goal in Zuccarellian fashion. The tone is set for game seven in New York.

Absolutely. I think it starts with Nash and ends with a bunch of filler UFA's/nobody here cares much for.
Philly Pens. That's worth watching. Not the alternative. Great game by the Flyers, despite fumbling it around a bit in the first. Good show of urgency. I feel better about this team going into game 7 than at the start of this game. Mind you, NY hasn't closed out 11 series in a row, something to that effect. Make that 12?

To NYR:
- Rick Nash
To CLB:
- Brandon Dubinsky
- Artem Anisimov
- Tim Erixon
- 1st in 2013 (Kerby Rychel)
I thought it was a decent trade at the time for CLB, and I think looking back now 2 years later, it's a win. I would think it's well known in the hockey community that Nash has little to no motivation when he's not getting paid. Guy doesn't even like hockey... he's just got God given talent and he's collecting his millions while he can.
His stats in big games are embarrassing for a player of his ability:
Olympics - 19GP - 2G - 5A - 7PTS
Playoffs - 22GP - 2G - 10A - 12PTS

Game seven will be on TSN2 and RDS. The Raptors game will be on TSN.
